This quirkily named establishment in Lima does what it says on the tin. It offers incredible organic coffee, roasted in small batches, to locals and tourists alike. The resultant brew tastes good and has a depth of flavour that is hard to find elsewhere. The coffee is grown by farmers in Peru and roasted and ground in the café itself. Puku Puku Café is conveniently located close to a number of hotels and tourist attractions in Lima, so it’s the perfect pit stop during your day of sightseeing. However, if you’re inclined to sip you cup of coffee at leisure, Puku Puku Café also has a tiny terrace. It’s the perfect place to grab a table and watch tourists and locals go by their day. This makes for the perfect languorous afternoon in town. There is no doubt about the fact that the coffee at Puku Puku is the star of the show. But their cakes and muffins impress as well; we specially love the carrot cake. It makes for the perfect accompaniment to a hot beverage.
