If you want to watch a sunset from the beach over a nice meal and cocktail, the Sandbar By The Sea is just the place. Fine dining at a surprisingly moderate price, the extensive menu has plenty of Thai options but leans rather heavily on American and European dishes such as pastas, burgers, sandwiches and steaks. The owner, Stanley, and his family love speaking with guests, but if not around the other staff can take care of you.The Sandbar also hosts live music several nights a week and has plenty of events and specials going on all the time. Occasionally it can get pretty busy, especially at sunset, so if you are determined to catch the sunset view with a cocktail in one hand and camera in the other, it might be best to make a reservation ahead of time. Also, if you are in the neighborhood, walk past the chalkboard out front and see what is happening.
Recommended dish: Go for it, get a steak. You cannot go wrong at Sandbar By The Sea and the portions are big.
