Word to the wise: Pick up a Moog flyer and get in for free before 1.30am, though you may find the place still isn't busy that early.

Talk of the town: While it now has a reputation for cutting edge music, Moog's venue was actually first launched as a Flamenco club way back in 1915.

Regularly hosting the best names in electronic dance music (rather than merely the biggest), Moog is the stuff of Barcelona clubland legend. It has just two fairly small rooms - the upper one initially playing pop, the one below dedicated to pure electronica - and matches super club aspirations with the intimacy of a late night dive bar.

Dancing to house, techno, drum'n'bass, electro and trance, Moog's crowd contains both music geeks frantically searching for track names and full-on hedonists just up for a dance and a laugh. While hip regulars can be pretty, they generally dress more for dancing than posing.
