Slovakia calls itself a big small country. You might remember it as part of erstwhile Czechoslovakia. It was born in 1993 as an independent country, making it one of the youngest countries in the world today. Land locked on all sides with other European countries; it is snuggled in the lap of Tatra Mountains with caves hidden inside its folds and River Danube flowing through its capital city of Bratislava.
