Irrespective of personal preferences, the Amazonian rainforest always comes at the top of this list. While the majority of the Amazon Rainforest is in Brazil, it also spills over in countries such as Peru and Colombia. You will have to take a short flight from one of Peru’s main cities - Lima or Cusco - to get to the rainforest. The vision of labyrinthine rivers, including the incredible Amazon River, cutting through the rainforest is best observed from the plane. So make sure you opt for a window seat on that journey.
