Word to the wise: If you didn't bring a picnic lunch, sample popular hawker fare including black pepper crab and crispy baby squid sold throughout the park.

This 15 km stretch of coastline en route to Changi Airport is the largest park in Singapore and offers a myriad of activities. While the water is a little too murky for swimming, swaying palms shade a white sand beach ideal for sunbathing.
Cycling and in-line skating paths run the length of the beach, with hiring facilities on-site. There's also a skate park, tennis courts, a water sports centre, fishing jetty, exercise station and even a Tai Chi corner. Contact the National Parks office in advance to rent a barbecue pit in the evening or you may have to fight your way to a good spot.
