Commonly known as the Fort Museum, the Fort St. George Museum is one of the most famous museums in the city of Chennai. The museum is home to a massive collection of around 3661 antique items that, in the best of ways, depict artifacts of different ages of modern Indian history. A treasure trove of a collection in this museum is spread across three floors and divided into 10 galleries. Read less
Commonly known as the Fort Museum, the Fort St. George Museum is one of the most famous museums in the city of Chennai. The museum is home to a massive collection of around 3661 antique items that, in the best of ways, depict artifacts of different ages of modern Indian history. A treasure trove of a collection in this museum is spread across three floors and divided into 10 galleries. One of the most prominent collections in this museum include age-old armours and weaponry, starting bows and arrows to swords to canon shots, mortars and remaining of shells fired at and from Madras during the World Wars.
