Billing itself as a “resort mall”, Promenada fuses resort-style shopping with beautifully manicured outdoor grounds, exhibition spaces, dining and more, all with a unique feel. Along with a variety of fashion, beauty, home and electronics stores, the shopping center also is home to a cinema, supermarket and drugstores, and several “edutainment” offerings geared toward children including a skating rink, Gymboree, Kid Zone game area and Kumon learning center. Most of the stores and shops here tend to be more boutique in nature – you won’t find many internationally-recognized retailers – and there are also a number of beauty and wellness shops where shoppers can receive beauty treatments such as manicures and pedicures. The elaborate mall, designed to blend seamlessly into the nature of northern Thailand, also regularly runs a range of events and promotions throughout the year including special sales, fairs, performances and free kids’ activities. While this shopping center is the furthest outside of the center of town, it does offer a regular shuttle service with pick-ups and drop-offs at some of Chiang Mai’s largest centrally-located hotels including Amora Thapae Hotel, Le Meridien Chiang Mai near the Night Bazaar and Shangri-La Hotel.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
