The villages of Binsar have a rustic charm and the residents are always warm and hospitable. Behsodi is a nice little village with numerous bird species and beautiful forest trails. Flycatchers, doves and bulbuls are quite commonly seen. An ideal way to explore this village is to go on a village river trek with a local guide. For the ones who love being outdoors, this would be quite an informative trek and a refreshing one too. The narrow path winds its way along the ridge of the hills with numerous tall pine trees and through Basoli Village before ending at the beautiful Binsar River. The villagers are friendly and do not forget to return a smile. The guide/naturalist (request the hotel/resort to arrange for one) would have interesting anecdotes and stories to tell during the trail before it ends at the gurgling river. Though there isn’t much one can do by the river, the setting sun and the flowing water is an ideal frame to enjoy some solitude moments in absolute serenity. This place also makes for a nice picnic place to spend half a day. A morning walk is also recommended, as Binsar is well known for its avian species which are found in abundance. The seeping sunlight makes for a refreshing morning trail through the villages.
