Visitors cannot come to Canada and not watch the true Canadian winter sport, hockey. Luckily, Edmonton is the perfect place for it. With their luck down for the past few years, the Edmonton Oilers are working hard to rebuild their team. This has led to low ticket prices, and attendance from locals is low, giving outsiders the chance to get really good seats and even catch a glimpse of the players before or after the game. Games are played in one of the best hockey venues in the world, named Rogers Place. Located downtown, this arena features some incredible things on display, such as the largest cubed scoreboard in North America, allowing everyone access to replays and scores, no matter where you are sitting. Bistro Bars, 1,250 HD TV’s throughout the rink, wide walkways that look out to the streets, and a bowl that feels more like a really spectacular old school arena, rather than a concrete block, this stadium is incredible. Lucky for visitors in 2016, it is the stadiums first year, and one can be assured everything will be shiny and new.
