The autumn wind has been filled up with the smell and Chhatim flowers and revered chants at the pandals. Durga Puja is very much on. The festivities and celebrations are underway. The tinsel town is glamming up to take part in the same. Take a look at the Tollywood celebs who are celebrating their first Durga Puja as a married couple.

Sohini Sarkar and Shovan Ganguly married each other on July 15, after dating for exactly a year. The couple got hitched with their family and close friends in attendance. Two days after their legal marriage ceremony, the couple decked up for their Boubhat ceremony. Sohini, the new bride, decked up in a stunning pink saree and gold jewellery. Sohini and Shovan are set to usher this year’s Durga Puja as a married couple.

‘Bodhon’ famed actress Sandipta Sen tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Soumya Mukherjee last December. On 7^thDecember, 2023 they got married in a traditional Bengali style wedding. The couple, who kept their romance a hush-hush affair, opted for a traditional wedding last winter. Sandipta and Soumya are set to celebrate this year’s Durga Puja as a married couple.

‘Montu Pilot’ fame Saurav Das tied the knot with actress Darshana Banik. The Couple had a stylish and royal wedding on December 15 last year. Saurav was seen dancing while arriving at the wedding stage. Darshana too joined his groom after the wedding rituals. The fan-favourite Tollywood couple keeps shelling out ‘Couple goals’ with their adorable PDA. This year’s Durga Puja is going to be their first, as a married couple.

Rupanjana Mitra and Ratool Mukherjee tied the knot in April, after dating for over six years. The couple took their wedding vows in a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony. Rupanjana’s son (from her first marriage) Rian was part of all the rituals and celebrations. After a month of their wedding, the couple flew out of town for their honeymoon. Rian joined in the holiday for his summer vacation. Rupanjana, Ratool and Rian are set to celebrate this Durga Puja as a family of three.

Adrit Roy and Kaushambi Chakraborty, the ‘Mithai’ co-stars took their wedding vows in a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony on May 9. The co-actors came close to each other while working in the popular Bengali daily ‘Mithai’. Around the end of 2023, Kaushambi posted a photo of her and Adrit together, finally giving their relationship the tag of ‘Instagram Official’. Adrit and Kaushambi are set to usher this Durga Puja together as a married couple.

Rupsa Chatterjee tied the knot with her long-time partner Shayandeep Sarkar on October 3, just before the Durga Puja. The couple got hitched in a traditional ceremony with friends and family in attendance. Rupsa legally registered her marriage in December last year. This year, after they were pronounced husband and wife through a traditional ritual, the couple sealed it with a kiss! Rupsa and Shayandeep are set to celebrate this Durga Puja as their first as a married couple.

Bengali actor-politician Kanchan Mullick tied the knot with Bengali TV actress Sreemoyee Chattoraj after years of denying their rumoured affair. The duo got legally married on February 14, after Kanchan’s divorce was finalised with his ex-wife Pinky Banerjee in January this year. After registering their marriage legally, Kanchan and Sreemoyee went on to take the wedding vows in a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony on March 2. Sreemoyee has celebrated every possible festival with Kanchan by her side since their marriage. The duo are ushering this year’s Durga Puja as a married couple.
