Bengali television enjoyed a starry fever this year. A number of Bollywood stars appeared on Bengali television as special guests or celebrity judges in 2021. But Govinda making his debut on Bengali television as a reality show judge is certainly one of the most memorable moments. ‘Hero No. 1’ joined ‘Dance Bangla Dance’ family and stole hearts of Bengali audience. There is no doubt that he is the ultimate entertainer who gave several hit films to Indian audience. Comedy, romance, dance and high-voltage entertainment, he has it all. Today, as the Bollywood actor turns a year older, here’s a quick look at a few of such moments when Govinda made us fall in love with him yet again!

The actor and celebrity judge is always caught having a vibrant smile on his face during the show. Be it while sharing feedback to the contestants or speaking with the co-judges, the bright smile on his face makes the audience fall in love with him all over again.

The actor has always been vocal about his love for Bengal. He speaks highly about the rich cultural heritage and talents, both on camera and off-camera. In the last episode of the show, Govinda said, “What Bengal has seen through this show and the entire world through Bengal is really commendable. I am mesmerised to see such talents coming from a humble background. It (Dance Bangla Dance) has become my family. I don’t have any words to describe.”

The relationship between Govinda and reality show ‘Dance Bangla Dance’ goes long back. Before joining the team as a judge, he appeared on the show as a special guest on numerous occasions. While ‘DBD’ welcomed him as a part of the family, the latter also fell in love with the cast and crew. He also developed a close bond with co-judges Jeet and Subhashree Ganguly, mentors and hosts Vikram Chatterjee-Ankush Hazra. And their relationship went beyond the shooting sets. Ankush and his girlfriend Oindrila Sen went to Mumbai and had dinner with Ahuja family. Ankush-Oindrila developed a bond with his son too. Govinda, on the other hand, paid a visit to mentor Devlina Kumar’s house few months back after she invited him.

Known for his passion for dance, Govinda’s signature style enjoys a huge fan base. From ‘Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’, ‘Kisi Disco Mein Jayein’ to ‘Do You Wanna Partner’, Govinda made his fans groove.
