Actor Kushal Punjabi commits suicide; Karan Patel and other TV celebs express shock

Kushal Punjabi (42) was found dead at his Pali Hill residence in Bandra. His friends reportedly found him hanging from the ceiling when they entered the flat at around 11.30pm. A shocked Karan Patel couldn't believe the news of his friend's suicide. He wrote on his social media account, "RIP my brother. Guess it's true when they say, “The happiest Faces hide the Most saddened Hearts”. Seeing Your spirit and zest for life, never in my wildest dreams would i have thought that you will bid your final goodbye to life in a way that will send a chill down our spines every time we think of you. @itsme_kushalpunjabi you will be missed forever. Sharing one of her precious photos with Kushal, actress Chhavi Mittal captioned her post as, "I hope you are in a better place my dear friend. I have no words to express what I feel today. Karanvir was the first celeb to have broken the news publicly. He wrote, "Ur demise has shocked the hell out of me. I'm still in denial @itsme_kushalpunjabi. I know you are in a happier place, but this is unfathomable. The way you lead your life really inspired me in more ways than one....but what was I to know. Your zest for dancing, fitness, off-road biking, fatherhood and above all that, that smiling face of yours, your happy-go-lucky nature your warmth all that was such ingenuity. Chetan Hansraj shared that Kushal was going through separation from his wife. He also revealed that he spoke to him a couple of days ago and found him disturbed. Talking about his personal bond with Kushal, Chetan said, "He was such a positive, fun loving guy. He always laughed and had a smiling face. He was a fighter and always inspired people around him to be fit. We have known each other for the last 20 years and we have grown up together. He was more like a brother to me. The loss is irreparable."

Arjun Bijlani, who was a part of Kushal's last show Ishq Main Marjawan, shared on his social media account how he didn't want the news to be true. Dalljiet Kaur still can't believe the news of the actor's demise. She shared how she wants someone to tell her it's a stupid gimmick.
