Akanksha Puri to Jay Bhanushali, TV actors who are staying away from their family for work purpose amid COVID-19 scare

During the lockdown, many TV actors had to stay where they were away from their families. Now that unlock has begun, many TV celebs are staying away from their families as they have small kids and elderly parents at home, and do not want to risk their lives. Let's take a look at what these actors have to stay and how they are managing to stay in touch with them. (Photo: Instagram)

Vighnharta Ganesha's Akanksha Puri

Vighnharta Ganesha's show has shifted from Naigaon to Aamgaon. Akanksha Puri is staying in Aamgaon and is loving the weather there. Sharing her excitement with ETimes-TV about her first day on the sets, the actress said, "This place is so beautiful and so positive. I am glad Contiloe (our production house) took this decision to shoot here. I started my day with jogging in this beautiful weather. And getting ready after such a long gap. I am doing makeup and hair after so long and that too dressing up as Maa Durga is amazing."(Photo: Instagram)

Jay Bhanushali for Khatron Ke Khiladi 10

Actor Jay Bhanushali is moving out of his home as he will appear in the special edition of Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. Speaking about this, the actor told BT, "I was reluctant about going back to shoot amid the pandemic, but there is no certainty about when things will return to normalcy. That’s when Mahhi and I decided that one of us will have to step out to work. I am in the process of packing my stuff." He also added that he would be missing his daughter Tara's first birthday. Jay said, "I have never been away from my baby, so I don’t know how difficult it will be to live without her. I will be away from July 18 to August 8, and Tara will turn one on August 3. I was looking forward to celebrating her first birthday in my own little way, but I won’t be a part of it now. However, I am keeping a positive attitude. When she grows up, I will tell her how her father couldn’t be a part of her first birthday celebrations due to COVID-19 (laughs!)."(Photo: Instagram)

Radha Krishn's Sumedh Mudgalkar

Sumedh Mudgalkar, who plays the role of Lord Krishna in the show, got stranded in Umbergaon Filmcity. Back then, he told us that the cast and crew are taken care of by the makers of the show. After the lockdown rules were eased off, Sumedh said, "I am my parents’ only child and obviously, they were worried about me when I was away from them. So, as soon as the lockdown rules were eased off, I drove down to Pune, to be with them. It was like a mini-celebration at home when I reached (laughs!). My mother had cooked my favourite dish — pav bhaji — for me. I hadn’t stayed at a stretch for so long with them in the last two years. So, I cut myself away from the virtual and outside world. I spent quality time with my parents, grandmother and my dog. Of course, I left with a heavy heart from home, but I can’t wait to get back into the avatar of Lord Krishna for my show." As of now the actor is in Pune and shoots have resumed sans him. There isn't any clarity about when the team will be able to start shooting with him. (Photo: Instagram)

Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala's Mohit Mallik

Although Mohit isn't shooting for any show right now, he is waiting to meet his family. In an interview with The Times of India, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala's Mohit Malik told, "The first thing I want to do when the lockdown ends will be to meet my parents. As soon as the inter-state borders open, Aditi and I will drive down to Delhi instead of taking a flight to avoid any kind of risk of contamination." (Photo: Instagram)
