Aryan Arora on replacing Rishabh Jaiswal in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: There is pressure, but equal excitement
Aryan Arora has replaced Rishabh Jaiswal to play Krrish in Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, marking a significant step in his acting journey. Stepping into an already established character comes with its own set of expectations, and Aryan acknowledges both the pressure and excitement that come with it.
Speaking about taking on the role, Aryan says, “There is definitely pressure. The character was already being played by someone who did a good job, so there are expectations. I have to do justice to the character and match up to what has already been created. At the same time, there’s equal excitement because it’s something new for me.”
Despite the initial challenge, Aryan shares that his experience on set has been extremely positive. He says, “My overall experience with the cast has been great. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. Nobody made me feel like I’m new. Everyone introduced themselves and made me comfortable. It genuinely feels like a family on set.”
He also speaks highly of the working environment at Rajan Shahi’s production house. He says, “It’s only been a few days since I started, but even in that short time, my experience has been really good. Whenever I had doubts, the directors and actors explained everything clearly, including character relationships and dynamics. That has really helped my performance.”
Aryan, who has previously been part of shows like Bahut Pyaar Karte Hain, Lag Ja Gale, Chaashni, Parineeti, and Dhaakad Beera, feels each project has contributed to his growth. However, he admits that Krrish is a completely new challenge. “I don’t think any of my previous roles have prepared me for Krrish because he is very different from anything I’ve done before. That’s what makes it exciting,” he says.
With a sense of gratitude, Aryan concludes, “Professionally and personally, this show has a massive reach. It feels like it was written in my destiny. I’m just happy to be a part of it.”
