#BB14: Rubina Dilaik, Rakhi Sawant or Rahul Vaidya? Ex-contestants reveal who they think deserves to lift the Bigg Boss trophy this year

After months of twists and turns, multiple entries and exits, shocking evictions, epic meltdowns and massive fights, Bigg Boss 14 has finally reached the last stage. The much-awaited finale this weekend has fans divided over who deserves to lift the coveted trophy. We spoke to some popular contestants from the previous seasons, who have closely followed this season and asked them who they feel deserves to win the show. Here’s what they had to say…

Kamya Panjabi, who is an avid follower of the show, feels that this time, things will be different where the winner is concerned. She elaborates, “I don’t support one person if you ask me who that is. But I really like journeys of Rubina Dilaik and Rahul Vaidya this season. Having said that, many people assume that the top two will be Rahul and Rubina, and that Rubina will walk away with the trophy. Vindu Dara Singh even told Rakhi Sawant that she can’t win, but I disagree with this. I feel this season was very dull and boring until the challengers came in the house. Rakhi has lifted the TRPs of the show. So, if we look at the entertainment factor, then I feel Rakhi should win and set an example that even a wildcard can win the show. People feel that wildcards never win; why are they brought inside the house then? It makes sense for a wildcard to win this time.”

For Bigg Boss season 13 contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee the winner should be Rahul Vaidya. She shares, “Its' being said that it's now a one-on-one battle between Rubina and Rahul. But I don't think Rubina and Nikki deserve to win. I know the fan base plays a large role in determining the end result, but based on who has played the game better, my choice for the winner is either Rahul or Rakhi. On similar grounds, I wouldn't consider Rubina and Nikki even in the Top 3.”

Former contestant Rakhi Vijan says, “I am enjoying watching all the fun that has been brought on by Rakhi Sawant. She has a different charm. Since the day she got into the house, the environment has completely changed. But I feel trophy will be taken home by Rubina. Her journey in the house has been challenging since day one. Despite all the challenges she has impressed viewers. The only other person who can give competition to Rubina is Rahul Vaidya.”

Winner of Bigg Boss season 3 Vindu Dara Singh feels that Aly Goni might win the game. “I think for me it will be Aly Goni. He came late into the game but he proved his mettle and now is standing next to Rubina Dilaik and Rahul Vaidya. I hope the audience too helps him win," he says.

Former contestant Srishty Rode has a strong feeling that Rubina will win the show. “Rubina Dilaik should lift the trophy. I support her because she really deserves it after the way she has played. She is also the only one who has been in the house since day one. Apart from that, when she talks, she knows how to shut down others – she has a certain style of talking, which I like watching. I also like the way she has played the game from the beginning. I don’t agree with people who say that she had support in the house in the form of her husband Abhinav Shukla. The real support was when other contestants went out of the house, saw episodes, got information and came back in. That’s more beneficial when it comes to playing the game and Rubina never had that advantage. I also like Rahul Vaidya, but his only downfall came when he exited the show for a brief period. Otherwise, he would have been in the race for me, too.”

Bigg Boss 11 contestant Arshi Khan says that it might be Rubina Dilaik, Aly Goni or Rahul Vaidya. "During the beginning, the contestants were not playing the game fully but later a lot of drama unfolded. I had found Abhinav Shukla the mastermind but post his eviction Rubina Dilaik too has been playing really well. Apart from her Aly Goni and Rahul Vaidya too have proved themselves in different ways. But in the end awam will only decide the winner." shares Arshi.

Bigg Boss season 3’s Bhakhtiyaar Irani feels that the winner might be Rubina Dilaik. “Her's is a different case. She put her relationship at stake, her partner got evicted and so many other things happened but she didn’t lose momentum. She is still strong and is fighting. She saw so many ups and downs yet no one could shake her.”

Saurabh Patel, who entered the show as a commoner in season 12, says, “I like Rahul Vaidya and Rubina Dilaik in the show. But I personally support Rubina and feel she should win because each contestant has to show their journey in these four-five months and she has shown every side of her. Whether it was romantic, fights, myriad emotions, her real life experiences and struggles, she was open about so many things. She has shown all aspects of her life and deserves to win the show.”
