Bigg Boss 17 wild card contestant Samarth Jurel claims to be in a relationship with contestant Isha Malviya, all you need to know about the Udaariyaan actor

Samarth Jurel's entry is going to add to the drama between Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar’s already existing love-hate relationship. While Samarth claims that Isha is his current girlfriend, the latter denied. While the drama begins with his entry, here’s all you need to know about the actor, who starred in various TV shows alongside Udaariyaan.

Samarth shocked everyone with his entry, especially Isha Malviya. Samarth announced that he is Isha’s current boyfriend. However, Isha denied saying they have been just friends. Abhishek Kumar, who also claimed to be in a relationship with Isha during their stint in Udaariyaan, had a major break down and a brawl with Samarth.

Back in August, ETimes TV was first to inform about Samarth’s probability to do the reality show. A source close to the show had back then informed us, “We have finalized Samarth Jurel, who currently plays the lead in TV show, Maitree.”

Samarth was a part of dating reality show Splitsvilla 14. However, speaking to ETimes TV, he had shared that he felt he wasn’t fit for the show. He had said, "I made a wild card entry in Splitsvilla X4. I am glad that I got a chance to be a part of the show, but I don't think Splitsvilla was the right show for me because I am a natural person, who can't do anything just for footage. I think that I wasn't the right fit for the show."

Samarth Jurel, who hails from Indore, came to Mumbai in 2018 to become an actor. He bagged his first show Udaariyaan. He played the role of Nikhil Kapoor (Shamsher and Rama's younger son; Advait's brother; Naaz's ex-husband). Incidentally, Samarth met Isha on the sets of Udaariyaan and Abhishek was also a part of the show.

Samarth shared that he has been in a relationship with Isha for a year now and they have been very happy. Samarth said, "Isha and I met for the first time in Bhopal, it has been a year and we have been happy together."

Speaking to ETimes TV about his childhood, Samarth had shared, “I used to play cricket professionally since childhood. My dad (Mukesh Jurel) wanted me to be a cricketer as he was a cricketer. I wanted to become an actor. Till the age of 19, I played cricket and then wanted to come to Mumbai. I told my father and even played cricket in Mumbai. In the morning after playing cricket, I would go attend auditions. I would be told at auditions that I got tanned. So slowly, I reduced cricket sessions. I would initially do improv acting. My acting skills developed.”

Samarth was cast opposite Shrenu Parikh in Maitree, where he played the role of Harsh. About joining the show back then, he had shared, “I am really happy to be a part of a show like Maitree that offers its viewers high-octane drama. My character Harsh, is a fun-loving person, who always has a very positive approach towards everything in life. In fact, I feel Harsh and I are very similar, so that makes it easier for me to perform this role. I am so glad that I will be shooting with a popular actress like Shrenu Parikh, I am sure I will get to learn a lot from her.”
