During Bigg Boss 18's family week, Chahat Pandey's mother created a stir with bold statements, calling Avinash Mishra a "womanizer" and asserting she’d choose Chahat’s husband. Salman Khan later teased Chahat about her mystery man, hinting she might be dating a Gujarati boy, adding intrigue to the show. Chahat denied having a boyfriend but humorously agreed to marry whoever her mother picked. Salman playfully switched to Gujarati, teasing her about learning the language. After the weekend ka vaar, a video went viral where Chahat's mother Bhavna Pandey claimed to pay Rs 21 Lakhs if the makers found the boyfriend. She said, “Bigg Boss ki team agar aise kisi ladke ko dhund laye jo Gujarati hai aur Chahat ki ussey dosti hai, to usko 21 lakh rupaye ka inaam ham cash denge. Amid the ongoing controversy, Zaan Khan who was Chahat's co-star took to his social media handle to clarify that he wasn't dating her. Zaan stated that Chahat is a close friend of his, and the two performed together in 2019 and 2020. He claimed that she used to call him Khan Sahab. Zaan stated that there is nothing more or less to it. The handsome actor bestowed his best wishes on Chahat for her Bigg Boss adventure and denied any romantic involvement.

Soon after Chahat's mother shared the claims, KRK took to his Twitter handle sharing an old picture of actor Manas Shah with Chahat Pandey and claiming that the 'secret boyfriend' that everyone has been searching for is Manas. Manas exclusively spoke to BT, refuting the relationship rumours with Chahat Pandey, he said, "Just because a picture of Chahat and me posing with each other has gone viral, it does not mean that I am her mystery man. Chahat is a co-actor and a friend but we don't even keep in touch often. We are hardly in touch. I have no romantic connection with Chahat at all and people have just started these rumours without checking facts."

The Hamari Devrani actor clarified further, "I am single and hoping to settle down in an arranged marriage. I do not have a girlfriend. It is sad how people assume that I am the boyfriend. I am surprised how I am now suddenly linked with Chahat."
