Bigg Boss 18: From opening up about her financial struggles to choosing Rs 10 lakh over Splitsvilla X5’s grand finale: Times when Kashish Kapoor made headlines

Kashish Kapoor, who won hearts and even raised many eyebrows with her journey in Splitsvilla X5 has now entered Bigg Boss 18 as a wildcard contestant. While many are loving her personality and are rooting for her, some are waiting to see more sides of the reality show star. She had made headlines several times and here’s a look:-

Kashish Kapoor, a social media influencer and reality show star hails from a small town Purnia in Bihar. She did her schooling and spent from of her childhood days there. Later, she shifted to Delhi for her graduation and studies from Amity University. Kashish also participated in several modelling contest during the time and started making videos on social media.

Kashish was one of the contestants of dating reality show Splitsvilla X5. She entered the show with glam and her bold personality became an instant hit for both the show and her. While she struggled to make a connection inside the house, Kashish was well known for her controversies and drama.

Kashish made headlines after Arbaaz made some demeaning remarks on her during a task. Kashish, who broke down emotionally after realising the same did take a stand for herself and fought with Arbaaz. Later, he apologised to her and promised to make it up for her.

A few weeks before the grand finale of Splitsvilla X5, Kashish was asked to choose between love (her current partner- Addy or power) in the show. Kashish chose power which resulted in Addy’s eviction. Later, she paired up with Digvijay Singh Rathee.

During the semi-finale, all the contestants were asked to either choose Rs 10 lakh or be a part of the grand finale. Kashish chose the money which resulted in Digvijay’s eviction. Kashish mentioned how the money is very important for her as she comes from a ‘lower-middle class’ family.

Post-the grand finale, Kashish received ra*e and death threats for choosing money over the finale. In an exclusive interview with TOI, she said, “When I took the decision, I was very well aware of the aftermath. I knew I did the right thing for myself. However, I will be facing the co-lateral damage of it. The hate was fine for once but ’ve been getting rape and death threats since the grand finale. People are sl*t shaming me and calling me what not.”

Sunny showed her constant support in Kashish, especially when Arbaaz made derogatory remarks against her. He questioned Kashish’s character and called her ‘vulgar.’ Sunny took a stand for Kashish and consoled her when she was low during the show.

In an exclusive interview, she mentioned, “I never said I’m poor. I just come from a lower middle-class family where we have seen tough situations. Digvijay wasn’t really very close to me and would have chosen Unnati over me for the finale if given a chance. I did what I had to do but I never claimed to be poor.”
