Bigg Boss 19’s Farrhana Bhatt reveals ‘marriage’ is her biggest ‘phobia’; says, “I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to marry”
Farrhana Bhatt, who won many hearts with her stint on Bigg Boss 19, continues to make headlines. She recently opened up about her fear of marriage and revealed that she might never be able to marry. In a conversation with Faridoon Shahryar, Farrhana shared her thoughts on the same.
She said, “I have a big phobia of marriage. I don’t know if I will ever marry in my life because I am scared of marriage. What if you actually give your whole self to a person and later you realise he was not worth it? Later, you realise that he is someone who does not want your career to flourish. Later, he realises that you are this way because of your past and that you are very difficult to handle.”
In an episode of Bigg Boss 19, she shared, “My parents are separated. He married again. He had an extramarital affair with someone. Then my mom left. My mother was 25–26 years old when she left him, got divorced, and she never got married after that. Main kabhi kabhi mazak masti karti hoon aur bolti hoon mera baap kaafi shaukeen types insaan hai (laughs). (Sometimes I joke around and say that my father is quite a fun-loving person). I have not met him or seen him. I have only seen him in photographs. He tried, but my mother never wanted me to meet him because there were many cases going on at that time.”
She further added, “Ye jo experience dekha hai na maine meri maa ka, mujhe bahot khauff hai shaadi se. It’s a very scary thing.” (After witnessing my mother’s experience, I’ve developed a deep fear of marriage. The thought of it feels very scary to me.)
