Bigg Boss winner Munawar Faruqui and wife Mehzabeen welcome first child; comedian says 'feels blessed'

Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is over the moon. The stand-up comedian and his wife Mehzabeen Faruqui have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. Munawar took to his social media account to share the news of baby girl's arrival. On Friday May 1st, the Lock Upp winner shared pictures of his wife and daughter, without revealing their faces.

Sharing the photo on his social media account, Munawar wrote, "Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed. Alhmdulillah. Dua mai khas yaad rakhe (sic)!"


As soon as Munawar shared the photo, several celebrities from the industry dropped congratulatory messages on the post. Celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Gauahar Khan, Mr Faisu, Avneet Kaur, Ranveer Allahbadia and Aly Goni, congratulated the couple in the comments section.

Munawar Faruqui married make-up artist Mehzabeen Coatwala in May 2024. Both Munawar and Mehzabeen kept everything very private and did not officially announce their wedding at that time.

In Farah Khan's Vlog, Munawar spoke about his second marriage. He revealed his marriage decision was rooted in love for his son Mikael. “When I spent a week with him, I didn’t want him to leave. I felt he needed me… more than that, I needed him. The desire to be a present father was the core reason behind the sudden decision."

Speaking about his wife, Munawar shared, “She has a 10-year-old daughter. Her situation was just like mine — she felt like the missing piece in the puzzle. The emotional connection was instant. I proposed the very next day after meeting her as I had thought about it all night before taking the leap."

For the uninitiated, Munawar was previously married and has a son Mikael. Meanwhile, Mehzabeen also has a 10-year-old daughter. On the work front, Munawar was last seen hosting Pati, Patni Aur Panga with Sonali Bendre.
