'Chand Jalne Laga' actress Satyamvada Singh to star in upcoming movie 'Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi', says ‘I connect with my character’
Actress Satyamvada Singh, a former beauty pageant winner and model, currently seen in television show "Chand Jalne Laga" will now be seen in upcoming movie "Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi" which stars Sanjay Mishra, Mahima Chaudhary and Navni Parihar.
She said, “I'm excited to announce yet another project that I'm part of and will be releasing soon next year. I'm happy to share screen space with my favourite actors like Sanjay Mishra and Mahima Chaudhary in the upcoming movie. I had completed shooting for the same in Varanasi. We enjoyed visiting popular temples and ghat during the shoots.”
Talking about her role in the movie she shared, "I'm playing the role of Geeta. I'm the youngest Bahu in the family. My character is of a very simple household women audience will relate with. As I'm from Uttar Pradesh itself so the role adaptation was very natural for me. But still interestingly I wasn't cast so easily. I attended a casting meeting for around 5 times and was finally locked for the role.
In Chand Jalne Laga, Satyamvada played the role of Shagun Dharamse. It was her TV comeback after 4 years. Previously she shared, “I was approached for TV roles but I never wanted to play older roles then my age. I was waiting for the right opportunity and finally I got this one. My last show on TV was in 2019, 'Divya-Drishti' and now after four years. Meanwhile I was doing theatre and exploring different places in the country and now I'm returning to TV. I'm feeling blessed.”
The actress started her career after a successful career in modelling and winning beauty pageants like 'Gladrags Mega Model', ‘Miss Culture World' India, 'Miss Uttar Pradesh' and then later 'Miss Delhi', the 'Most photogenic' among others. She has acted in shows like 'Divya-Drishti', 'Chidiya Ghar' , 'Lapataganj', 'Krishna Kanhaiya' among others.
