​Parth Samthaan criticised

Kasautii Zindagii Kay actor Parth Samthaan was seen flying to Hyderabad a few days ago. Turned out to be that the actor flew to apparently party with his friends and cousins. A video of the Kasautii actor pool partying and dancing with his friends surfaced online. He was also called irresponsible for not following norms amid the state of this pandemic.

​Naagin 4 shelved

Ekta Kapoor has decided to end Naagin 4 and now a four episode grand finale will be shot post lockdown. Ekta Kapoor also informed that they will immediately get into season 5. Its creative director said that they will continue with the same title, Naagin - Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel. Ekta Kapoor apologised to the cast Nia Sharma, Rashami Desai for an abrupt end and axing their roles. She also said that the scripting of Naagin 5 has already begun.

​Ekta Kapoor apologises to Nia, Jasmin

Ekta Kapoor apologised to Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin and Vijayendra Kumeria for letting them down due to weak scripting of Naagin 4. She promised them to use their talent in a better form in the coming days ahead. Ekta asked the viewers to consider Rashami Desai's stint as a special appearance in the show. Nia, Rashami and Vijayendra expressed their gratefulness towards Ekta for showing trust in them.

​Preksha Mehta's suicide

Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta committed suicide on May 25th by hanging herself at her Indore residence. Reportedly, the actress went into depression due to no work during lockdown. She had returned to her hometown due to the spread of coronavirus in Mumbai. Preksha's last message on Instagram read, "Sabse bura hota hai, sapnon ka mar jaana." Apart from Crime Patrol, Preksha (25) was also seen in Laal Ishq and Meri Durga. Lack of work is being cited as one of the major reason behind her suicide. (Photo: Instagram)

​Donal Bisht against 90 day payment structure

TV actor Manmeet Grewal (32) committed suicide on May 18 due to acute financial crisis. This led to a discussion about the pending dues by the production houses and to abolish the 90-day payment structure. Speaking about the same, actress Donal Bisht told ETimes TV, "It is a request to all the channel and production house, please lift this 90-day payment rule. It is sad as it becomes difficult to survive for four months with no other income. People are killing themselves. People are killing because you are not paying. Why can’t you take the responsibility and see to it that people don’t take such a drastic step. Production and channel houses have a lot of money. They have crores. Can’t they pay 5-10K per day basis? Per month payment should be applied."

​Mahabharat actor Satish Kaul in dire need of money

Mahabharat actor Satish Kaul is facing financial crisis. The actor, who played the role of Lord Indra in the mythological show Mahabharat, has no money to buy groceries or even basic essentials. Satish Kaul, worked in the Punjabi film industry and had also started his acting school. The acting school went into losses, which brought him back to square one. He was also bed-ridden in 2015 and that worsened things for him. Known as Lord Indra of BR Chopra's Mahabharat, Satish Kaul was at an old-age home but later samaritan Satya Devi brought him to her house.

​Mohit Baghel passes away due to cancer

Chote Miyan artist Mohit Baghel (26) passed away due to cancer. The actor was also seen in Salman Khan's film, Ready. Comedy Circus and Comedy Nights With Kapil's writer and director Raaj Shaandilyaa confirmed the news of his death. Mohit considered Raaj as his mentor and the latter had also signed him for one of his upcoming films.

​New normal for TV shoots

Amid the lockdown period, many television actors are shooting from home and actors like Jasmin Bhasin, Donal Bisht, Sara Khan, Rashami Desai and others feel that this is the new normal for TV shoots, and one might have to live with it. Actors are asked to shoot portions from their house and share it with the directors. Many of them have already shot music videos, web shows from home.

​Guddan - Tumse Na Ho Paayega cast to be replaced

Amidst the number of shows that have been axed and are going off air and many TV actors have lost work. The makers of Guddan - Tumse Na Ho Paayega have decided to revamp the daily soap by replacing the current cast with new faces. The show will go in for a time leap of around 20 years and only Kanika Mann (who plays the female protagonist) and Daljeet Soundh (who plays dadi), will be retained. Kanika will play her own daughter post the time leap. This will mark the exit of the principal cast, including Nishant Malkani, who essays the role of the male lead.
