Devoleena Bhattacharjee: Will cook my mom's famous Bihu pitha recipe

The saree had work done in bright pink, deep emerald green and gold all through. There were tassels at the end border. Devoleena Bhattacharjee accessorised it heavily.

The jewellery that Devoleena is donning is traditional Assamese jewellery worn on special occasions like Bihu. She wore a Maharani necklace made of kundan, emeralds and pearls. Big jhumkas, kangans and rings added more beauty to her look.

The lovely Devoleena Bhattacharjee is known for her love for traditional clothes. She has clicked pictures dressed in a saree made of Assamese mulberry silk. It is also called as Pat Silk. Devoleena had worn a mustard yellow Mekhala Chador in the Bigg Boss 13 house too.

She said, "My mother cooks very delicious Bihu food and I will prepare her famous pitha." Sharing her favourite Bihu memory, she adds, "I remember during the festival, me and my friends used to organise a picnic and would perform the Bihu dance till late night. The whole celebration was fun and full of positivity.”

The actress is making the celebration special at her home in Mumbai. She says, "I'm in Mumbai alone this time, while my family is in my hometown Shivsagar, in Assam. I'm inviting a few friends home for lunch and will cook Assamese food.
