Ghanshyam Nayak from 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', who entertained one and all as Nattu Kaka for years passed away yesterday (October 3). The entire cast and crew of his show are extremely sad and shaken. The veteran actor passed away at 5:30 pm on Sunday. The seasoned actor, 76, was battling cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. Dilip Joshi, Bhavya Gandhi, Munmun Dutta, Mandar Chandwadkar and several others visit his residence to pay their last respects. (Pics: ETimes)

Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal, Mandar Chandwadkar (Bhide), Amit Bhatt and other actors were snapped together outside Ghanshyam Nayak’s aka Nattu Kaka’s residence. Munmun Dutta’s heartfelt tribute

Tanuj Mahashabde and Munmun Dutta, who play the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, visited the late actor’s residence. Munmun took to social media and wrote, “The first picture is the last time that I met him. His fighting spirit and inspirational words, in the face of adversity , is what I remember the most. He said 2 shlokas in Sanskrit to tell us how his pronunciation is absolutely perfect and clear after recovering from chemo and we gave him a standing ovation on the set.” (Pics: ETimes)

Producer and actor wrote, JD Majethia wrote, “Late Shri Ghanshyam Naik, along with being Known as Natukaka (Tarak) Vithal kaka (Sarabhai), he was one of the very few and the senior most performer of Bhavai art form. He was the RANGLO, a comedian who performs in front of the curtain while sets are being changed behind it. It’s curtain down for the talent and a set back to the folk art form of Bhavani .
