Divyanka Tripathi schooling a fan over ‘Indian mosquitoes’ to Kamya Panjabi slamming troll for divorce shaming her; when TV celebs hit back at netizens for their mean remarks

Celebrities all over the world have to face the consequences of being a public figure, one of which is being questioned, trolled, called out for things big and small. Television actors have been in such a space too. For being trolled for their relationships, choice of attires/accessories and more, they face it all on social media. Divyanka Tripathi believes in speaking out and loud whenever she is targeted on social media. Recently, the actress’ caption about ‘Indian mosquitoes’ was questioned and called derogatory against India by one of her fans. The actress took notice of the comment and gave a long befitting reply to the fan. She explained how it can be anything but derogatory for the country and it was just about the mosquitoes in and around her house. Divyanka further added that the user deleted his/her comment and expressed her worry about the ‘delicate sensitivities’ that exist. “I do get shocked by such delicate sensitivities! Macchhar se zyada aisi nazuk soch se pareshaan hoon ab!” she wrote, while sharing the screenshot of her fan’s comment.

Naagin 5 fame Surbhi Chandna recently schooled a fan who suggested that she should give her sister Pranavi a break from handling her social media. This suggestion came for the actress during an AMA session and it looks like it didn’t go down well. After the session, Surbhi shared a video on her story slamming the fan for the ‘silly’ suggestion. She stated that her sister puts in a lot of hard work and has a huge role to play in her success. Surbhi added that instead of making such remarks one should appreciate Pranavi’s efforts. Alongside the video, the actress wrote, “From next time rather send your brain on a holiday.”

Urfi Javed, who is often at the receiving end of trolling and massive backlash, doesn’t pay much heed to it all. But once in a while, she makes it a point to hit back at all the trolls and people who question her choice of clothes. Recently she shared a post and gave it back to them with a one-liner, as she wrote, “Bhaad me jaye duniya, Akele khelegi Muniya!” However, she later deleted the post. Meanwhile, Urfi has openly bashed trolls in her interviews. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, she had said, “I will be very honest here. I never gave a f**k (to the backlash). Why would I bother about what some stupid people think?”

Actress Chhavi Mittal was recently trolled for wearing a nosepin. She posted a picture and was called ‘regressive’ for sporting a nose pin in it. A user commented on her picture, “Why Chhavi is wearing a nosering, it looks regressive. Modern women should discard such regressive practice and set examples. They should promote modern thinking. Does men wear. Otherwise she is just fashionable.” The actress took note of this and came up with a befitting reply. She shared a screenshot of the comment and wrote, “Regressive, is not fashion and jewellery... regressive is this kind of thinking. Rubina Dilaik was upset with a fan for badly editing her old picture and sharing it on social media. The actress shared the picture shared on a fan page and expressed her desire to meet the person who ‘badly edited’ her pageant picture, that went viral on social media. The fan had posted a collage of her her old pageant picture and a recent photo. It shared on Instagram with a caption that read, “The struggle is real!” Rubina took notice of the picture, shared it on her story and wrote, “I want to meet the genius who edited the ‘left’ picture…. And ask how badly beaten up was he/she with life…”

Sometime back Kamya Panjabi was trolled over her ‘failed marriage’. It was after the actress shared a post on her social media that a user commented and slammed her for not being able to save her first marriage. The comment read, “Ek apni shaadi to bacha ni payi talaq ho gya. Fir dusri shadi...had hai (You could not even save your own marriage. You got divorced, and then married for the second time. This is the limit).” Kamya didn’t fail to notice and came out to give a good bashing to the troll. She questioned if a woman should stop living after a divorce. Kamya said, “So? Mujhe khush rehne ka ya jeene ka koi haq nahi hai? Talaq ho gaya toh aurat ko marr jaana chahiye? Talaq se zindagi khatam ho jaati hai aurat ki? Aap jaisi soch rakhne waalo ke khilaaf aaj harr ladki ko apni awaaz uthani padegi our utha bhi rahi hai... Mujhe kamzor naa samajna main ladki hoon lad sakti hoon (Do I have no right to stay happy? If divorced, should a woman die? Divorce is not the end of one’s life. Every girl needs to raise her voice against people with a mindset like yours. And, they are raising their voices. Do not think of me as weak. I am a woman and I can fight).”

Varun Sood recently hit back at a netizen who attacked his girlfriend Divya Agarwal. A Twitter user recently questioned why Divya Agarwal, who won Bigg Boss OTT wasn’t invited in the 15th season like a few other contestants. This made Varun come out in support of his ladylove and bash the user. Giving an apt reply and reasoning, the actor wrote, “1. Why should she compete with people she has already defeated once 2. Her web series started immediately after BB OTT 3. The makers called her and told her that she has already won and they don't want to send her in with people who haven’t.”

Mere Angne Mein fame actress Ekta Kaul faced a similar situation like Kamya Panjabi during one of her AMA sessions on social media. She was poked with a ‘disgusting’ question, “How successful is it in your view to marry a divorced man or woman?” In her defence, Ekta came up with a sarcastic response to the troll. She shared a picture with husband Sumeet Vyas and son Ved, and wrote, “It’s a disgusting question but still would loveeee to answer! It’s this successful Sir.”
