Exclusive - Abhishek Sharrma celebrates one year of Vasudha; says 'The love I’ve received has been truly humbling'
Popular drama Vasudha has successfully completed one year, and actor Abhishek Sharrma, who plays the lead role of Dev, recently reflected on his journey and the overwhelming love he has received from audiences.
Looking back, Abhishek admitted that he was filled with nervousness and uncertainty when the show first began. “When the show was about to begin, I was extremely nervous about how audiences would perceive me in this new character. Of course, everyone feels nervous before a launch, but for me, the pressure was even greater—I wasn’t sure if people would accept me as Dev,” he shared.
The actor, who is known for his dedication and preparation, explained how Dev became a part of him as he got deeper into the role. “I’ve always believed in doing my homework before stepping into a role, and in that process, Dev gradually became very close to my heart. What I didn’t realize was how quickly time would fly. From watching the premiere to now completing one successful year of portraying Devaansh, it feels like it all happened yesterday.”
For Abhishek, being part of Vasudha has been more than just another acting project—it has been a dream fulfilled. “Deep down, I always wished to be a part of a show that would run long and, more importantly, play a character that would leave a lasting mark in the hearts of the audience. The love and appreciation I’ve received from people all across the country has been humbling and overwhelming,” he said.
Expressing gratitude, Abhishek concluded that this milestone has given him more than just recognition. “This journey made me realize that I’ve achieved something bigger—reaching greater heights while also forming a deep connection with viewers. That, to me, is the most fulfilling reward.”
