Exclusive - Anupamaa fame Ishita Dixit on her transformation in the show: There’s not much difference between Ishita and Pari now
Ishita Dixit, one of television’s promising young talents, has been steadily carving a niche for herself with her portrayal of Pari in popular show Anupamaa. What began as just another role has gradually evolved into a deeply personal journey for the actress. Over the past year, Ishita has discovered that her on-screen character and her real-life self are becoming increasingly intertwined, turning this experience into a voyage of self-discovery that has shaped her both personally and professionally.
Reflecting on this transformation, Ishita candidly shares, “For some time now, I have been feeling that there is not much difference between Ishita and Pari. I used to be a party animal before, but now, like my character who is quite sober and calm; I feel I have turned into Pari. Our personalities have blurred out.” The actress admits that portraying Pari has quietly influenced her lifestyle, mindset, and emotional maturity in ways she never expected.
Coming from a strong theatre background, Ishita has embraced the unique rhythm and demands of television with enthusiasm. “Working on the show, I have been growing as an actor. Performing on television is a unique experience,” she reflects. A significant part of this growth, she believes, comes from the guidance and encouragement of her senior co-stars. “I have learned a lot from senior actors. Rupali Ma’am always tells me that I am a very good actor, and she loves me for that. I discuss scenes with her, and she guides me on how to improve them,” Ishita shares with gratitude. “There is nothing more important to me than being appreciated by such experienced artists.” Beyond professional learning, the bonds formed on set have become deeply personal for the young actress. “Personally, I feel that I have learned a lot. The show has become a part of my life. Rupali Ma’am is very close to me,” she says warmly, highlighting the sense of family that Anupamaa has created for her.
For Ishita Dixit, Pari is no longer just a character she plays; it is a mirror reflecting the person she is growing into. With her dedication, humility, and evolving artistry, Ishita continues to win hearts both on and off screen. In this seamless blend of reel and real, audiences don’t just see Pari; they witness the journey of a young actor blossoming into a confident, grounded, and inspiring individual.
