On saying yes to Khatron Ke Khiladi 15
For me, Khatron Ke Khiladi is a show that takes you out of your comfort zone. I agreed to do it because I wanted to challenge myself and try something new. As an actor, I face emotional challenges through my work, but this show tests your courage, mental strength and ability to stay calm under pressure. I believe you only grow when you take risks and step into unknown territory. This felt like the right chance to push my limits. I am excited about the adventure, the surprises and the challenges that come with it. (Photo: Instagram)
Do you think fitness will give you an advantage here?
Khatron Ke Khiladi demands strength, stamina, endurance and flexibility so fitness definitely plays an important role. These are the qualities, I have consistently worked on. However, physical fitness alone is not enough. I think mental strength is very important. During difficult stunts, contestants need to stay calm and focused. There are times when even the fittest person can get scared or nervous. That's why both physical fitness and a strong mindset both are equally important. (Photo: Instagram)
Were you always interested in doing stunt-based reality shows?
Absolutely. I have always loved doing action-packed and adventurous activities. Even while watching previous seasons of the show, I always wondered if I will be able to handle certain stunts or perform them successfully. We all have fears, and this show gives us a chance to overcome them. That's one of the things that has always fascinated me about Khatron Ke Khiladi. (Photo: Instagram)
What was your family’s reaction when they found out you were joining Khatron Ke Khiladi?
My family was very happy when they heard the news. They also got emotional as they know I like taking up challenging stuff. They are proud of me. At the same time, they were a little worried because the stunts on the show can be dangerous. My mother keeps telling me to stay safe and be careful. My family has been very supportive and has always encouraged me.(Photo: Instagram)
Is there any particular stunt you are most nervous or excited about?
Water and height-based stunts make me both nervous and excited. The thrill and adrenaline are definitely there, but when you are actually performing the stunt, your heart starts racing. I'm also looking forward to the animal-based stunts, as they require a lot of patience, calmness and self-control. In many ways, every stunt on Khatron Ke Khiladi is a challenge against your own fears and limitations. (Photo: Instagram)
On mentally and physically preparing for the show
Physically, I have done a lot of endurance training, functional workouts and am into swimming and working on my flexibility because the show requires overall fitness. Mentally, I am working on being very disciplined and focused and am learning to control my fears and anxieties as your mind is the most important thing you have in a stunt show. I feel that, for stunts, your confidence and presence of mind should be there as well. And, I have also been working on staying positive because attitude is key in a competitive show like this. Compared to Bigg Boss, do you think Khatron Ke Khiladi will be more challenging for you?
I feel that both the shows are challenging, and that, too, in different ways. Bigg Boss challenges you emotionally and mentally as you live in a house under camera scrutiny and with a variety of people and personal spaces. Khatron Ke Khiladi challenges you both physically and mentally because you are in extreme situations where you have to deal with your fears. For me, Khatron Ke Khiladi is going to challenge a different aspect of me, and that is what makes it exciting. (Photo: Instagram)
On meeting Rohit Shetty and working with him
I am extremely excited and I feel privileged that Rohit Shetty Sir is a host of this show. Rohit sir has an interesting personality, he's very positive and very disciplined, I am happy that you have him. Rohit Shetty is a name that is synonymous with Khatron Ke Khiladi and I feel it has helped make this show, what it is today. He has created an experience for every one of the contestants that will stay with us forever. I feel it is one of the biggest highlights of me this season to get to meet Rohit Shetty sir. On Eisha Singh's reaction to his participation
Eisha was very happy. She knows I like a bit of a challenge, so she is very happy. She wanted me to do this show. At the same time, she reminded me not to panic, and not to let my mind take things too seriously. She told me to focus on each and every stunt one by one and then execute it. I am very glad that she has so much confidence in me; it's been very encouraging and heartening. (Photo: Instagram)
