Exclusive - Bigg Boss 16's Soundarya Sharma on breaking up with Gautam Singh Vig: Emotions ka dhaaga kisi wajah se juda hua hota hai, I can’t be pretentious

Actress Soundarya Sharma, who recently got evicted from the show was hailed as a deserving contestant by netizens and celebrities. Many former contestants like Gauahar Khan, Kamya Panjabi, Devoleena Bhattacharjee called her elimination unfair. After coming out of the show, Soundarya spoke exclusively with ETimes TV about her eviction, journey on the show and Tina and Shalin Bhanot character assassinating her. I won’t say I am disappointed but obviously I am not very happy either. When you go there you want to be there at least till the finale. I got eliminated just 20 days before the finale and I had the potential and had contributed a lot to the show so I deserved to go ahead but I was eliminated. I was looking forward to see more as the audience gave me immense love and appreciation. It is fine. I feel it is a part of the journey. (Photo: Instagram)

I think it was part of destiny and I was not voted out from the show based on the audience's votes but the housemates decided to vote me out. Shiv Thakare and Priyanka were adamant to remove me from the show. Somewhere I feel they knew I was a very strong contestant and they wanted me to be out of the show. Hence, they kept saying what was my involvement in the show. I don’t think involvement is about hiding or stealing food items or purposely getting into other’s fights to be seen in the show. I don’t know if the audience was shown my part from the Simi ma’am show where she called me a very good supporter and that I’ve always been there for everyone. That is my nature, I’ve been helpful towards others because I’ve never got that support from anyone. In my life I’ve done everything on my own, from scratch. Like in the industry it is said that you need a godfather to be successful or have an affair with someone, but I’ve done everything on my own. I don’t believe in pulling down people. These weak people are using the character assassination card to move ahead in the game. They talk about feminism but hide when it comes to taking a stand. They think by character assassinating someone they would make it to the headlines, good for them. It reflects on them that they think such nasty stuff about someone and have such bitterness inside them for someone. It could be out of jealousy, competition, or running out of topics. It is easy to character assassinate somebody. Jaise Kisi ko advise dena easy hota similarly making derogatory remarks about someone is easy. It would sound bad but dogs bark but you don’t react to them. Yes, it was very disappointing, disheartening that Bigg Boss did not take any stand when these things were discussed in my absence. I think the contestants who discussed my character must be complex in nature because any normal girl or boy won’t do it. This shows their upbringing, education system and their values. Emotions ka thread Kisi wajah se juda hua hota hai. It is a gut feeling. Had I been on the show with a game plan, I would have never decided such a thing on my own knowing that everyone would ask me the same thing. If I’ve made a conscious decision and if I am not feeling something for someone it’s fine. I can’t be pretentious, I can’t fake things for the camera. Priyanka was lying and she acted as per her convenience. There are many people who claim to be righteous but their actions are opposite. She claims to be doing this or that but actually they are trying to show the audience how good a human being they are but her outrage has always been selective. Priyanka and Shiv behaved stubborn and adamant that they wanted me to get eliminated. They can’t see a strong contestant in the game who can snatch captaincy tasks from them. (Photo: Instagram)

Tina is a person who has spoken ill about every girl in the house. She doesn’t understand that she is digging her own grave. Because her actions and words are making her look bad and not the other girls. She is insecure of someone’s 5 million followers and that’s the reason she is making nasty comments about them. She’s confused if she’s in the Bigg Boss house to win or become a chugli Chachi. I don't like her as a person. Whatever I got to know of her was because of Bigg Boss but she came on the show after researching about me. That means I am important. Who has thought that after being eliminated from the Bigg Boss house, Tina would return back for the drama “Shalin Bhanot”. And suddenly “Sha you want chicken Sha”.
