Exclusive - Bigg Boss 19 Winner Gaurav Khanna clears the air on Rs 50 lakh prize money; says 'I’ve received the full amount'
Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna was recently in the news when a segment from his YouTube Vlog went viral where the actor talked about not receiving the BB prize money. This soon led to speculation on social media as many fans started questioning the delay in payment, especially since the finale was held in December last year. However, the former Anupamaa actor has now clarified the situation. He explained that the vlog was recorded more than a month ago and confirmed that he has already received the entire prize money. He also requested his fans not to get involved in unnecessary online arguments and asked the media not to exaggerate the issue.
When Times of India TV reached out to Gaurav Khanna, the actor shared, "Actually, this issue is being exaggerated. The clip is from a vlog that was recorded almost 40 days ago when I was travelling to my hometown during the winter. However, the vlog was uploaded recently, which made people think it was a new recording, but that’s not the case."
He added, "I had already mentioned in the caption below the vlog that I have now received my prize money and vouchers. But at the time when the vlog was originally recorded, I was still waiting for them."
Gaurav clarified the misunderstanding and cleared up all the speculations about the Bigg Boss 19 prize money. He said, "In the meantime, I have received my full prize money. Also, in television, such processes usually take some time. I had clearly mentioned this in the vlog without blaming anyone, so please avoid making a big issue out of it. It isn’t necessary."
On the work front, Gaurav Khanna, a popular face in the television industry, became a household known for his role in the hit show Anupamaa. His win in Bigg Boss 19 further boosted his popularity and expanded his fan following.
During the Bigg Boss 19 grand finale, Gaurav Khanna lifted the trophy and won Rs 50 lakhs as prize money. Farrhana Bhatt was declared as the first runner and Pranit More became the second runner-up.
