Exclusive - Bigg Boss OTT 2's Jad Hadid on his early life when he was abandoned by his parents: Don’t want to be stuck in the past or blame them, just focus on life

Lebanese born model Jad Hadid, who is one of the contestants on Bigg Boss OTT season 2 is currently entertaining fans with his charm and good looks. He spoke exclusively to ETimes TV, before entering the reality show about staying with 12 strangers under roof, doing household chores and host Salman Khan. Jad, who had a troubled childhood as he was abandoned by his parents shortly after birth, opened up about how his difficult phase made him stronger mentally and how he doesn't blame his parents or himself for whatever he went through in life. He also talked about his ex-wife and daughter. (Photo: Instagram)

On sharing a house with 12 other contestants

I did my military service duty back in 2005 so sharing space is not a problem for me. But it is a bit different now because for so many years of my life I’ve been living alone and I’m a little bit OCD and I like things to be perfectly done. I hope the rest of the contestants are the same too. It will become easier for me to stay in the house. Because if things are not good, organised it bothers me. (Photo: Instagram)

Being real and showing your real self is better than hiding and pretending

I’m extremely fine getting judged on the show because I consider myself a regular person and I show exactly how I’m in real life. If I’m upset, vulnerable, sad, going through something I show that. I talk about it and I would like to help people if other people are also going through the same thing. Being real and showing your real self is better than hiding and pretending. (Photo: Instagram)

I live alone and I have a kind of OCD, I take care of my house

I’m super fine with doing household chores. I live alone and I have a kind of OCD, I take care of my house. I have a person who comes every once in a week to kind of do the major fix of the house. But the normal day to day work I do it. I don’t cook normally as there is a kitchen that provides me food everyday. I train a lot and I am required to eat a certain amount of protein everyday. I’ve done that for a while but when you need to survive you find a way. (Photo: Instagram)

I consider this six weeks as a detox phase

I considered this coming for 6 weeks and I’m prepared for it. I consider it as a detox phase and I’m not really concerned because the body goes through phases sometimes, so you need to adapt. So this phase I’m considering it a detox from everything. I'm considering it a detox for social media, certain food items, phone, from people in general and just discovering myself how I behave when I’m put under pressure. When I’m forced to live with other people and adapt to whatever situation happens inside. It is going to be a whole compromise for six weeks. It will be a compromise on food, phone, friendships and everything. (Photo: Instagram)

On Salman Khan - I love his acting, he’s skilled and extremely natural

I’ve actually seen him while he was acting on a film set that’s even better than watching him on TV, movies or cinema. Seeing him do the real thing live in front of me was impressive to be honest. It was a favour for a friend that he was doing a year ago. I love his acting, he’s skilled and extremely natural. When you see some people you know they are acting but with Salman you see him living the script and acting real. Only a few people can do that. (Photo: Instagram)

On his hardships - You don’t have to be stuck in your past, you don’t have to blame your parents

I would love to talk about my life because I know it will help a lot of people. You don’t have to be stuck in your past, you don’t have to blame your parents or yourself for whatever happened or for the position you are in. This is how it is and this is where life has gotten you. So you have to just figure a way to get out of it and create a new life for yourself, create a new person, something that makes you proud of yourself when you look back. (Photo: Instagram)

If I get a chance to speak about my life I would love to

Whatever situation you were in, no matter how difficult your past was, even if you had to survive alone, remember there’s a reason why we go through what we go through. Of course I will be talking about it because it helps a lot of people, it did already I know. Some people call me an influencer, I’m not an influencer on social media, I’m someone who is able to make an impact on people’s lives. So if I get a chance to shed light on something that I know and it would help others or bring them peace, I would love to put all my efforts and energy into it. (Photo: Instagram)

There was a period during my young days, I wasn’t accepting of myself

Yes, of course. You need to realise your situation, what problem you have been through and put them on table and you start eliminating the flaws in it. It helped me a lot, but if you live in denial without accepting reality, you can never come out of it. There was a period during my young days, I wasn’t accepting of myself and I was afraid of the judgments of others, so I used to lie because I didn’t want people to look at me differently as I was afraid of judgements but now I’m not. Because now if someone judges me they’ll judge me for what I’ve made out of myself. (Photo: Instagram)

People see my daughter on my social media but they never see her mom - We are divorced

As far as I know India has many Miss World titles to its name but I’m here to win people’s hearts not just one heart. But if I get a chance or opportunity to win one of the hearts inside I wouldn’t mind I wouldn’t mind. I’m divorced and have a daughter. People see my daughter on my social media but they never see her mom and they often ask where’s her mom, why are you hiding her. I’m not hiding her mom, we are divorced. But I’ve so much respect for her mom, she’s a tough woman. (Photo: Instagram)
