On returning to TV

It feels so good to be back on the sets because acting and facing the camera is my passion. I always love to do it. I took a short break because of my marriage, but now I am back and it is an amazing feeling. (Photo: Instagram)

It is a little weird to shoot during this pandemic

Earlier, when we would shoot for the shows before the pandemic, we all actors would sit together and have lunch. We all would get different things in our lunch boxes and would share and eat. But due to this pandemic, nothing of that sort happens. During the lunch time we quietly go in our rooms, maintain social distance and have our lunch sitting alone. It is a little weird, but I think it is a new normal and we will get used to it soon. Thank God we had our workshop sessions and that helped us to understand each other better. I had worked with Aditi Sajwan earlier in Baal Veer so we know each other and I know Vishal Kotian also. (Photo: Instagram)

I was a bit nervous when I began shooting for the show

Yes, of course there is a little nervousness. There's always a good feeling when you bag a new show and you will be going to work, but this time with excitement, nervousness is also there. It is a very difficult time for everyone and shooting during this time is very risky. But we are taking care of all the precautions on the sets. Once we arrive on the sets our body temperature, pulse, oxygen level is checked. From costumes, makeup rooms to everything else gets sanitised. We wear masks even when we are rehearsing. Only once we are giving our shots we take off our masks. We are being careful. (Photo: Instagram)

Right now I am not in a zone to play anything negative or too emotional - comedy was the best

I had a few other offers as well, but I took up this show as I wanted to laugh and entertain people. I wanted to make people happy and be in a positive atmosphere. I didn't want to take any show which was negative or had too much of rona dhona (emotional scenes). I feel there's already so much negativity and darkness around us that we need to make people happy. So, I felt like making people happy. (Photo: Instagram)

On reconciliation with Rajeev Sen - If there's light at the end of the tunnel, I will surely see it

I don't know if we are together or not. All I can say right now is he is Delhi and I am here in Mumbai. I know only what you guys know. What will happen in future I am waiting for God to show me the path, I have left everything on him now. I think problems happen in everyone's life, and we all go through ups and downs, it's just that we are celebrities, so a lot is written about us. if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I will surely see. And when I get to see it I will share it with everyone. (Photo: Instagram)

Dealing with a rough patch and living alone

During this pandemic I have learnt a great lesson, how to live on your own and how to enjoy your own company. Iss pandemic aur lockdown meri khud ke saath dosti kara di hai... Now, when I am staying all alone and enjoying my own company, I don't think it makes any difference to me now if I have someone with me or not. It doesn't bother me now because I have understood that I came into this world alone and I will go alone, I can't take anyone else with me. Woh kehte hain na hum chale, log judte gaye aur karwan banta gaya... It's fine If people want to be together and it's ok even if they don't want to be. (Photo: Instagram)

I am the biggest fan of Ali Asgar, loved him as Daadi in Comedy Nights with Kapil

I was very excited when I got the show. I was a bit nervous also because I am doing comedy for the first time and I have such stalwarts in front of me like Ali Asgar sir. I have always loved the roles he has played. I loved watching his character of Daadi from Comedy Nights with Kapil. I had never imagined that one day I will be working with him. I will say that I am his biggest fan. When I am performing with him I get to learn a lot, he is an acting institution in himself. Everytime we do a scene together I learn something new. I am having a great time shooting with him. (Photo: Instagram)

Ali Asgar makes his co-stars feel comfortable

I was a bit nervous to perform with him, but when we were doing workshops with him, I realised that he is a very down to earth. He is a lively, chirpy person and it is fun to work with him. When we do scenes together, he improvises a lot and sometimes I start laughing seeing him enact those scenes. It becomes difficult for me to control my laughter and then we take a small break and again start shooting. I am shooting with Ali Asgar for the first time but the amazing part is, it doesn't feel that you are working with him for the first time. He never makes his co-stars feel nervous, he is very friendly. He is an amazing person. I am the only person in the show who has not done a comedy show before. Comedy is a very difficult genre and you have to be very right with your timing. And we are doing comedy wearing these heavy costumes. Sometimes it gets very tiring but we continue to perform. It is a bit challenging. (Photo: Instagram)

Whenever I go through a difficult time in life, I just immerse myself in work

Acting for me is like meditation. I love my work so much that when I am working, I don't think about anything else. Whenever I am going through a difficult time in life, I just keep myself busy with work so that I don't get any negative thoughts in my mind. Even during pandemic when I was not working and was alone, I kept myself busy. I worked on my YouTube channel, I learnt new skills. I learnt cooking something which I never enjoyed earlier. Now, I can cook anything and I have become very confident about it. I have learnt a very big lesson during this lockdown, that you have come along into this world and when you die, you will go alone. So, it is very important to love and respect yourself. You should not feel that you need anyone else when we are alone. You need to understand and start enjoying your own company. Now, when I am working in a show, this is like an icing on the cake. (Photo: Instagram)
