Exclusive – Friendship’s Day special: Rashami Desai to Naina Singh; TV celebs reveal fun moments with their BFFs

It’s friendship’s day today (August 2) and ETimes TV asked a few TV celebs to reveal the craziest things they have done with their friends. The craziest thing I have done with my friend is just taking the passport and leaving for a trip with a limited amount of money in pocket and debit card. We even got the tickets directly at the airport and we went to Thailand, just to chill for 3 days. My closest friends are Manali, Ankita, Shreea and Jeevita. To dedicate just a song to friendship is a little difficult as I think a lot of songs go for us but when we are in our zone so we like Punjabi gaane and it is according to our phases from Channa Mereya to Fitoor to Makhana and a lot more. So music is something which gives us a strong bond definitely but not a particular song but particularly we just need to be together, I think that is more important.

Talking about friendship day I must have had so many crazy memories all these years with my friends but the best would be when I used to reveal my best friend, my school buddy Chinu aka Ranveet Singh's girlfriend's name and other secrets to his mom at home and he used to get an earful. Wow! I enjoyed the process. On this friendship day I would like to dedicate this song to celebrate our friendship. I believe this song by Guru Randhawa, "O Le lo paisa, le lo pyaar mainu mere yaar mod do", completely defines our bond and emotions.

Most of my crazy adventures with my friends can’t be revealed. But I can never forget the moments when we just decide to pack our bags and travel. Mostly, when I am bored and done with shooting or I need a break, I tell my best friend Akash (Choudhary). He does, ‘Arree…but’… but I convince him and we meet at the airport and off we go. So these incidents are there. Akash is a drama queen and I have to take care of him, take him to hospital and things like that. Our relationship is very comfortable and we share a great bond."

I’ve had some really good friends in all these years of my life and being honest I have more friends out of the industry than inside the industry. Can’t take a particular name when it comes to being a best friend because I believe u share different bonds with different people. And my friends have been there for me whenever I’ve needed them. So talking about some crazy stuff that I’ve done with them, I have so many memories. From going to parties to having house parties to Goa trips or just meeting up for dinner, every memory has been special. I remember one such night when I was randomly dancing on the streets with my friend simply because we were happy. So many memories. On friendship’s day I just want say thank you to all my friends for being there and loving me for who I was and who I am now. And to the friends I have from the industry, they’re special and dear to me. Also above all...nothing can replace my family’s love and bonding. They’ve been my pillars. I’m glad to have such a beautiful family and crazy friends in my life.

I used to enjoy with my girls gang. We used to be talk about everything, discussing and solving each other problems. We had this rule if someone is about to date a guy, we all used to approve the guy. We used to have blast on our girls day out.

I have been always a very disciplined student during my school days. I have never ever bunked my any classes. For me the first ever craziest thing was when I entered in college life, I used to bunk my college lectures just to hangout with my friends. I remember I use to ride a scooter that time. I would take my friends along with me on my scooter and used to roam around till college hours and like an innocent kid I would come back home and say ‘Mummy, I am really tired as I had a busy day at college.’ Once I remember, my girl gang and I blew crackers in the boys’ toilet. I was in school that time and we put the blame on somebody else. We totally acted innocent.

For me the most amazing relationship is friendship where you grow together, share happiness and sorrow and are there for each other yesterday, today and tomorrow. And I share this pure bond with my fans, they are and will always be my best friend as it's because of their love and support only I'm at this position. Thank you so much each and everyone of you for being there. I consider you all as my best friend. To this wonderful bond of friendship that we have I would like to dedicate this song from Cocktail, Tum Hi Ho Bandhu. I believe it completely defines how I feel about friendship and my friends. I feel every day is friendship’s day, but I do celebrate the day every year. While I won’t be able to meet my best friends this year as they are both out of Mumbai, I will surely do a video call with them. I will also be celebrating Friendship’s Day on the sets of Kumkum Bhagya with my Gucci Gang. Me, Sriti Jha, Krishna Kaul, Aparna Mishra and Zeeshan Khan have a group on the set and we call ourselves the Gucci Gang. We all will celebrate the day together, but prior to Friendship’s Day I want to tell all my friends special thanks. Thank you for being there, I count on you guys always and I can’t thank my stars to have found you all.

Friendship’s Day is quite a special moment of our lives and as much as I really miss my friends and would love to catch up with them, the current times are tough and demand that we stay at home. However, I do have quite some memories to cherish upon especially with school friends. Back in school, we never really had a big friends circle, but we were pretty close knit amongst ourselves. We used to pull a lot of crazy pranks on each other that may not sound really evil to us, but we had quite blast when we pulled it on the person. I have always had a handful of friends that I hold very close to myself and there are several memories associated with each one of them that it would be difficult to just pick out the most special one.

I don’t feel there should be a special day for friendship, as it is a 24 * 7 commitment. I feel we should always be there for our friends and not celebrate the bond on just one day. But on Friendship’s Day I want to tell all my friends that it’s easy to meet someone who is crazy, but to stay with them and adapt to their craziness is a different level of friendship and I feel they have done this very beautifully. I remember, once I landed at a friend’s place in Punjab without informing and from there, we had a crazy unplanned trip to Himachal. I’m a person who plans everything, but this unplanned trip was the best trip ever and having such friends who will not question you and go on such unplanned adventures are the best. I know I shall be friends with them even after we become ghost.

To be honest, I don’t wait for Friendship’s Day to make my friend feel special. Whenever we meet, it is Friendship’s Day. I don’t have many close friends actually. I do have many friends, acquaintances and family members, but close friends are just two. But I have so many memories with them! In fact, we recently did a road trip across America and it was one of our most memorable trips ever. Now, I just wish we plan a road trip pretty soon, I really need it. It should be filled with adventures, where we go on a trek, camping, ride horses and make many more memories. I wish everyone a Happy Friendship’s Day.
