Jiya Shankar who has been a household name with her TV shows has now been chosen as the lead for an upcoming themed show, adding another feather to her cap in the world of television.
In an exciting development, it has been confirmed that Jaasvand Entertainment and Mahesh Poojary production a well-known production house that made lots of shows, like Ram Pyare Sirf Humar,dus June Ki Raat Hai and many more much-anticipated shows.
Auditions were conducted in various cities to discover the perfect fit for their vision. After an extensive search, their quest culminated in the selection of Jiya Shankar as the female lead actor, a choice that has generated considerable excitement among fans and industry insiders alike.
Talking about Jiya, the actress was last seen in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, post the reality stint the actress has been away from screens but quite active on social media and her vlogs. Apart from Bigg Boss, the actress debuted in films with Ritiesh Deshmukh's Ved.
In recent times, Jiya had given a befitting reply to an online troll. In a now-deleted post, an X user published a photo of Jiya Shankar standing with a group of boys while having fun. However, he captioned it with a scathing remark: "I hate my mind…time to go to hell."
Irked by his words, the actress immediately challenged him on the microblogging platform and criticised the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell Department for taking action. The actress called out the user for his "cheap mentality" and bigoted views.
“I hope you rot in hell! So women are not supposed to take pictures with black people, be it their friends/colleagues/fans or people like you, who will come out with their cheap racist p*rn addict mentality thinking of p*rn even if it’s a normal decent picture? Now I know why p*rn is banned in our country! People laughing & supporting this shit should be ashamed of themselves,” she wrote.
