Exclusive - Karanvir Bohra on his debts: I exhausted a lot of money while making a film

Karanvir Bohra played his game with all dignity and positivity in the Lock Upp jail. During his journey in the show, the actor revealed a few secrets from his personal life and one of them was when he opened up about being under huge debt. Recently, in an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Karanvir poured his heart out and talked about his vulnerable moments and how he got the strength to fight bad times. He shared that he exhausted a lot of money while making a film Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna and also spoke about the time when he was called 'Gareeb' for arriving in a relatively 'small' car at his friend Sidharth Shukla's house for the last rites. I wanted to make a film and ended up exhausting a lot of money

Offers are not drying up. I am in a very good position. Woh alag baat hai ke mere Shauq ke wajah se maine bahut paise gawaye. I wanted to make a film and I ended up exhausting a lot of money on making the film and then it did not work at all. Aur paise doob gaye… the film was Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna. The film was made quite well but we didn’t get the right release. We all know the status of single producers and theatres, I could not execute because there was their nepotism, nexus involved. It was unfortunate but life is to move on. The offers have never dried up on TV, I still get offered reality shows, web series, or daily fiction. But I don’t do anything and everything that comes my way. The reason behind it is that I’ve worked a lot to be in the position where I am today, just because I am in a need of money I don’t want to end up doing any random thing. (Photo: Instagram)

Karanvir: Loans toh aate hain, chukaye bhi jaate hain

Playing a role is a different thing and doing anything in the name of work is another thing. I don’t want to do anything for the sake of money. To earn money I am doing reality shows, Teejay and I are very influential influencers on social media and we earn money from there. So, there is no dearth of work. Ek dum kaam milna band ho jayega, then I might pickup any random role, but right now I don’t need to with God’s grace things are really good. We are a very happy family and in a very good space and things are going well. I won’t let my acting career Aise he Kisi bhi cheez ke liye because it takes a lot of hard work to reach where I am today. Loans toh aate hain, chukaye jaate hain… agar life mein ye sab nahi hoga toh kya bas aaramse baithe rahenge.. you have to be on your feet. (Photo: Instagram)

I’ve been able to fight the bad times because I’ve always been spiritual

I would say I got the strength from my value system. The values my mom and dad have given me from childhood that has made me sustain. It is the support of my kids and my wife Teejay that I’ve been able to fight the bad times. We all are very spiritual. I feel every human should be attached to spirituality. I’ve been able to fight the bad times because I’ve always been spiritual. You need that strength and khula dimaag that ek din sab kuch theek ho jaayega… it is all in your mind. (Photo: Instagram)

Even at my friend Sidharth Shukla's funeral people were judging me for arriving in a 'small' car, 'I was called Gareeb'

When I lost my friend Sidharth Shukla and I had gone to see him, I went in a small car and I was called gareeb for it. I had no intention nothing, but I posted about it on social media as when I watched it, Teejay and I kept thinking that log kaise hote hain… yahan ek insaan chala gaya and one day we all have to go, but when will these people understand the value of life. When will they stop judging people with materialistic things. Paisa, gaadi, daulat kab band hoga logon ko uske hisaab se judge karna… that’s when I realised there is nothing important in life. Maine Aise bola main ye gaadi Sab sell kar dunga, I don’t care a damn. I am who I am, and my power, strength, pride everything is in my mind. (Photo: Instagram)

When you suddenly see downfall, you should know how to handle yourself

When I got offered Lock Upp, they told me you will have to share your secrets and I told them I don’t mind. It doesn’t matter. Yahan par bahut saare youth ki fresh start hoti… they are very charged up and sometimes they start with a bang but sometimes things are not good. And when you do good in life but suddenly there is a downfall, you should know how to take care of yourself. That is where the true test is. You fight back to rise again. (Photo: Instagram)

Meditation, Yoga should start from school level

I personally mental health is very important in today’s time and it is never given importance in our society. It should be in fact started from school level. Meditation, Yoga should start from school level and it should be practised daily. People feel it is preachy Aur hum bore kar rahe hain iske baare mein baat karke, but is is high time these things should be addressed. I’ve been practicing spirituality since the last 22 years. I started it in the year 2000 and I do it daily for 10 mins in the morning and 10 mins in the evening. I get strength from it. (Photo: Instagram)

When times are bad, you can’t stop your thoughts

When times are bad, you can’t stop your thoughts and you have to deal with things, crisis and challenges. You look down from your balcony and think of doing negative things to yourself, then you immediately get a thought imagine what are you fighting crisis, it will be fine one day. Money, you can earn, work it will come back what is the big deal. You have the family with you that’s a big deal, you have sanity with you, courage, passion you have all these positive things and it is a big deal. When I read about my friends or close ones about their demise, I pray for their soul and tell myself itni asaani se main nahi jaaunga..,I will fight till the end but not give up my life.
