On his kids' reaction his female roles
I always thought my kids might get teased, that someone would say something to them. But they told me they’ve never faced that. In fact, even their teachers say things like, ‘Your father works on that show—can we visit the set?’ So the response has actually been quite positive. (Photo: Instagram)
Once my son told me "If something happens, we can handle it"
People could have teased them, but I’ve never received any such feedback. I remember once asking my son, when he was around 12 or 13, if anyone said anything to him at school. He told me, ‘If something happens, we can handle it.’ He also said that if needed, he would step in—but overall, there have been no such issues. (Photo: Instagram)
On getting instant feedback from social media
It’s quite a unique experience. Once an episode ends and the telecast is over, you immediately see reactions on social media, with people saying they liked it. That’s always nice and encouraging. Of course, social media also has its negative side. People often try to pull you down for no real reason, and negative comments tend to get more attention. That part isn’t great. But overall, I enjoy being active on Instagram. (Photo: Instagram)
When we started acting, we had to wait for a platform to give us a chance
I make random reels, not because they earn me money, but simply because I have the time and I enjoy it. It’s a great platform. Sometimes I come across people from remote villages creating really entertaining content, and it genuinely makes me happy. When we started acting, we had to wait for a platform to give us a chance. Now, people don’t have to wait—they start on their own and become famous. I think that’s amazing, and I truly wish them well. (Photo: Instagram)
It’s rare to see Krushna, Sunil, and me perform together
We always try to bring something new, but that finale episode was truly special. It’s rare to see Krushna, Sunil, and me perform together, so that made it even more memorable. That act has always been appreciated, and this time all three of us shared the stage, which made it even better. Sunil Grover played the character of Kadar Khan, and the episode turned out really well. I knew it would connect with the audience, but I didn’t expect this kind of response. I absolutely loved it and I’m really happy that we ended the season on such a strong note. (Photo: Instagram)
Sunil deserves all the appreciation he’s receiving
Sunil is on another level. The way he thinks and performs is incredibly detailed. From how he walks and turns to his hand and shoulder movements—everything is so precise. Just watching him is amazing. He is very observant, and that clearly reflects in the different characters he has played throughout the season. It shows what a talented actor he is. I’m really happy he’s back. We weren’t working together for a while, but now we’ve done four seasons together on Netflix. He truly deserves all the appreciation he’s receiving. (Photo: Instagram)
On his bond with Kapil Sharma and standing by him - I truly respect his talent
For Kapil Sharma, I’ve always believed he is an incredible talent. Even during his ups and downs, I felt that someone with such ability should never fade away—he deserves to stay. I’ve always supported him, not just because of my affection for him, but because I truly respect his talent. (Photo: Instagram)
Kapil can entertain an audience effortlessly—sometimes even without a script
I don’t think anyone can do what he does. He can entertain an audience effortlessly—sometimes even without a script, he can keep people engaged for hours. He doesn’t need anything written in front of him; he’s naturally gifted. I genuinely hope he continues to grow, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve always stood by him. I hope that continues in the future as well.(Photo: Instagram)
On viewers demand to see second season of FIR
It’s been around 10 years since F.I.R., and I’m not sure if there will be a second season. I haven’t heard anything about it yet, but if it does happen, it would be really interesting. The schedules are quite tight now, and with other commitments, it becomes difficult to manage everything. But it’s a lovely show—I truly enjoyed working on F.I.R.. It used to air on Sony, and it was a wonderful experience. I’m not sure if the entire cast will be able to come together again. If it happens, everyone will need to find time, which isn’t easy these days since most shows are daily soaps and very few are made as weekly shows. (Photo: Instagram)
