Exclusive - Naagin 7's Eisha Singh on bond with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Bigg Boss journey; says 'It took a very long time to come out of it'

Eisha Singh recently made her comeback to the fiction genre with the successful supernatural Naagin 7. The actress is winning the hearts of the viewers with her strong portrayal and captivating looks. She joined Times of India TV for an exclusive conversation where she spoke about bagging Naagin 7, her bond with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. She praised Priyanka and called her perfect for the role of 'Naagin'. Eisha also opened up about how Bigg Boss 18 took a toll on her and it took her a lot of time to come out of it. The actress developed motion sickness due to the intense emotion. (Photo: Instagram)

On her role in Naagin 7

It’s such a big show and a huge franchise, so even being a small part of it feels like a big achievement. I’m really happy to be doing my second project with Balaji Telefilms, because every actor dreams of working with them. They are wonderful people to work with. When Ekta ma’am gives the brief for Naagin, you can see how strong and determined she is. She knows exactly what she wants, and being part of such a beautiful project truly feels special. Priyanka is a genuinely kind and positive person

I’ve often heard that actresses don’t get along on sets, but that has never been my experience. I’ve never had a fight with any of the women I’ve worked with, and I’ve been lucky to meet people who support and uplift each other. Priyanka is a genuinely kind and positive person, she’s neither insecure nor jealous, and I’m the same way. I’ve never felt jealous of anyone because I’m secure in myself and confident about my work. I believe in my craft. I’ve heard stories of people commenting on each other’s looks or gestures on sets, but with us, there’s only love and mutual respect. (Photo: Instagram)

Priyanka is truly the right choice for the role

I’ve done good work in the past, and I’m continuing to do that. There’s more coming up as well, though I can’t share details right now. At that time and in that situation, I made a clear and conscious decision about taking up the role and how I wanted to do it. Priyanka had already been finalised for the project for a long time, so there was no question of it affecting me or anyone else. Why would I feel insecure? If I had any problem or insecurity, I wouldn’t have taken up the role in the first place. I’m very confident in myself and focused on what lies ahead. Priyanka is very beautiful and absolutely stunning. She’s a strong performer, a good Naagin, and truly the right choice for the role. (Photo: Instagram)

I learned a lot from Bigg Boss, and it has only made me stronger

It was a very intense phase, and even when I was feeling low, people weren’t very kind. Thankfully, I didn’t need therapy, I healed myself. Still, after coming out of that house, it takes time to return to normal life. Trolling and negative comments don’t affect me anymore; I’ve moved past all of that. I’m much stronger now, and what people say no longer matters to me. I was vulnerable back then, but even now, some people continue to comment. However, my focus is completely on my work, and I’m doing good projects. I want people to notice that. I learned a lot from that show, and it has only made me stronger. (Photo: Instagram)

That show had a deep impact on me, and it took a very long time to come out of it

It affected me completely. That show had a deep impact on me, and it took a very long time to come out of it. The emotions were so intense that after leaving the show, normal life didn’t feel normal anymore. I even started facing severe motion sickness, I couldn’t sit in a car without feeling unwell. But now, I’m fine and doing really well. I’m happy with my life, and that’s how it should be. The experience made me much stronger. I’m lucky I live with my mother and brother, and my father has always been a huge support. My parents have always stood by me, and because of that, I feel calm and secure in life. (Photo: Instagram)

Bond with Avinash

My bond with Avinash has only grown stronger. All the people who were close to me remain just as close, and nothing has changed for the worse. There’s a common belief that relationships fall apart after Bigg Boss, but in my case, my bonds have improved and become even stronger. (Photo: Instagram)

On people looking down upon Television - They should see how much hard work television actually demands

I will never look down on television because it has given me everything I have today. My identity is because of TV. I’ve done films, web projects, music videos, and even a recent YouTube reality show. But television is what gave me real recognition, so how could I ever disrespect it? We are trained artists, and every artist deserves respect, no matter the medium. People often forget that and say, “Oh, it’s just TV.” They should see how much hard work television actually demands. We don’t get long dialogues for one scene, we perform six or seven scenes a day and still deliver our best. That’s why I respect actors and artists across all platforms.
