Actor Parakh Madan, who has earlier been part of shows like Anupamaa and Bhagya Lakshmi, among others, is currently essaying the role of Niyati in the second season of Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She is quite excited about how her character progresses and looks forward to a positive response from the audience. With a heart full of gratitude, she said, “This is my third project with Balaji Telefilms. Ekta ma’am is an amazing human being and an icon in her field and it is always a pleasure to work with her team.”“It’s truly an honor to share screen space with such an incredibly talented group of artists. Being part of Kyunki… feels very special. Working alongside such experienced performers is quite inspiring. I’m thankful to be part of a project that holds so much meaning for audiences, and I’m really looking forward to this journey unfolding,” she added. Her character Niyati is complex, and she mentioned that portraying it is both exciting and challenging. She said, “Niyati has a troubled and traumatic past, which makes the character quite layered and emotionally complex. It’s not a straightforward or easy journey, and that’s exactly what makes it so different and challenging for me as an actor.”“What excites me is how Niyati’s experiences shape her present choices and relationships.
There’s a lot beneath the surface, and slowly uncovering those layers is what makes the role so engaging. I’m genuinely looking forward to the way the story and my track are unfolding, especially as more aspects of her past come to light and begin to influence where she is headed next,” she added. An ardent follower of the show, she has watched the first season as well as the ongoing one. Kyunki set a benchmark for family dramas on TV. There was love, drama, respect, values, fights, and everything that happens in a normal Indian household. The characters are still remembered because of the impact they left on us. It was undoubtedly the audience’s favorite show and continues to be one.”As for her equation with Akashdeep Saigal, she confessed that he turned out to be completely different from what she had expected. She said, “He’s fun. I had expected him to be a brat from all that I’d heard about him, but that’s not how he is. I think that life and experiences have calmed him down from what I know of him so far.”She even spoke about Smriti Irani, who plays the character of Tulsi in the show. Parakh said, “Smriti ma’am is legendary. Working with her feels absolutely effortless, and she is very warm and welcoming.”“It’s a privilege to get to portray a character that is getting woven into the basic DNA of the storyline at such a riveting turn,” she ended.
