Exclusive - Pearl V Puri on the success of Naagin 3, playing intense role in Bepanah Pyaar and friendship with Karishma Tanna

Pearl V Puri, who is riding high on the success of his shows like Naagin 3 and Bepanah Pyaar, is missing shooting during the lockdown. However, the actor is not sitting idle and has already made four songs and is working on the fifth one. The TV heartthrob recently joined ETimes TV for an exclusive conversation where he spoke about the success of Naagin 3, performing intense roles and his friendship with close friend Karishma Tanna. It's not about how much you have or if you are a big or small star. I think whatever is in your capability you should do it. I got a call from a spotboy who worked with me on my earlier show Badtameez Dil, then I got a call from someone else and the calls kept coming. There were many calls and I felt I should do something for them as they need my help in this difficult time. So, what I did was I called up a person who had contacts with spot boys. I called their heads basically and got all the contact details and bank accounts details. I did whatever I could do from my side. (Photo: Instagram)

I miss shooting a lot. I am extremely workaholic and have even worked for 48 hours also at a stretch. There was a time when Naagin 3 was going to get over and Bepanah Pyaar was on crescendo, I would shoot at Naagin sets for 12 hours and then return to Bepanah for another 12 hours. I would sleep while travelling. I love working. And with this lockdown getting extended for three months I have started doing something at home. I am making songs and during lockdown I have already made four songs and fifth is also ready. So, I am doing something or the other. But still I am missing the shoot process. For an actor it is important to get exhausted and to use your energies while working, actors get exhausted. As actors we all are always working and creatively our minds are working, but with this lockdown everything has come to a standstill. I also understand health is very important. Initially I had this guilt. You know every parent wants their kids to take their business forward and stay with them and so even my father wanted me to follow his business. I don't think my father's thinking was wrong anywhere. But I had other aspirations, dreams and because of that he got upset. Yes, I am staying alone in Mumbai, but I have friends who have never let me feel alone. Karishma Tanna is one of those friends who has never let me feel alone in this city. She has played a very important role in taking care of me. She has always been there for me, she is still there and mera bahut saath diya hai. There are many friends who treat me as their family. I don't know where we met, I think we would have met at Ekta maam's party. We connected the first time itself when we met. We chatted so much and he is a sweetheart. He is a nice person and whenever you meet him you will get to learn from him. He will share experiences from his life which will teach you something and you will start feeling, oh, even I could have done this. I love the passion he has for work and he inspires people. He plans, designs the tasks and everything on his own during Ace Of Space and this I learnt when I went on the show. He is a very creative person. He is a one man army and decides things on the spot. It was quite difficult and people who aspire to be actors I would like to tell them it is not easy. Only being visible on TV is not everything, doing what you want to do is important. Finding work that you like is very difficult in this industry. There are a few lucky ones who don't have to struggle much. If you aspire to be an actor please make up your mind and only then come. There were times during my initial days when people didn't even meet me and would reject. Dur se he reject kar diya karte the saying you are not fit. Initially, I didn't even know what auditions were?. When I was doing my acting course I would go for auditions and get rejected. It used to bother me a lot. A lot of negative thoughts would start running on my mind. But later I understood that I can not fit into every requirement. Then I started feeling better otherwise I would take rejections to my heart. It took me a lot of time to understand that different scripts need different actors. (Photo: Instagram)

It is quite difficult for me to switch on and off from the roles I play. It totally depends on the character you play. When I played Raghbir's character in Bepanah Pyaar it was extremely intense. I am a kind of person who if is doing something for even 5 minutes I will give my 200 percent. So, for me it gets difficult to come out. I would end up having pain in my stomach aur a headache. I am sure other actors might be going through some other feeling but with me I always had a stomach ache or headache. Jab tak Bepanah Pyaar chala everyday my stomach and head would hurt because of the intense scenes. As an actor till the time I am not satisfied with my scenes I am not able to sleep properly, eat properly. So, I always had this problem. I would take medicines for that. (Photo: Instagram)

I feel really good about Naagin 3's success and my fans loved the show. It is because of their love that the show became such a big hit.
