Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is gearing up for a major twist as actor Romit Raj, who portrays Rohit Poddar, bids farewell to the show. His character's journey has come to an end, marking his exit from the popular series. In an exclusive interview with the Times of India TV, Romit Raj recently opened up about his departure from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, calling it one of the most special shows of his career. I am completely overwhelmed with the kind of response I’ve got from the entire nation and the viewers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Today being my 15th anniversary, I was at the Bangla Sahib in Delhi with my wife Tina to seek blessings. I thank the almighty for the opportunity I got to be a part of Yeh Rishta. It was meant to be for three months but the role got extended to nine months. I got three times more love, good scenes. I had a great time performing the character of Rohit. (Photo: Instagram)

I am going to miss the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai team very much. I loved each and everyone a lot on the sets. We all had a great bonding. Anita ma’am being the senior most and I’ve been in awe of her all the time and I had some amazing scenes with her. I must say Armaan bhaiya (Rohit Purohit) and me as brothers I think we had the best scenes. We had highly emotional scenes like when I give Daksh to him, hospital scenes, the scenes where I get angry with him, we fight and then we hug it out. I loved those scenes. Of course Rohit-Ruhi scenes were the highlight of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for me. We had some amazing scenes together. We had the best comic scenes, high drama, great funny scenes and at the same time high emotional scenes also. I had the best time shooting with Garvita and she is one of my most favourite costars.
