Divya Agarwal, Muskaan Kataria and other celebs talk about their favourite characters from the iconic show

Twenty-five years ago, actors Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry became household names with the popular American sitcom ‘Friends’. Till date, the star cast is fondly known by their characters' names among their fans. We have got Indian TV actors talk about their favourite characters and scenes from the iconic show F.R.I.E.N.D.S By: Sukarna Mondal

I love Phoebe. Can't choose of one scene. All scenes that have Phoebe and Ross. They are my two favourite characters. I have watched the entire season over 5 times.. I see it everyday atleast one scene everyday. It’s my happy place to go to. I am a #diehardfriendsfan. I love Phoebe because I am as random as she is and crack. Photo: Instagram

All characters are unique and cool in their own ways and I’ve liked all the characters but to mention my personal favourite or the character I can relate to would be Rachel and Chandler. Rachel, because I can relate her journey to mine. Her personality, some silly things she does and how she is accurate about her fashion sense. Most of the things I find relatable. Chandler because he is the king of sarcasm and funny of. His caring part is just like a cherry on the cake. Every moment of the show itself is amazing. The scene where Rachel's daughter was born in the hospital and Monica gave the name to Rachel, which she thought of giving to her own daughter in future. I’ve watched it many times. It’s like a mood booster to me so I watch at least one episode a day and it immediately changes my mind and my mood. Photo: Instagram

I kind of like Joey. There are so many scenes I like. I love Chandler and Monica’s proposal moment. Joey is very upfront and funny. I still watch Friends when there is nothing to watch. The first time I watched it, I watched it properly. Later on, I watch it randomly depending on my mood. Photo: Instagram

I love Friends and Joey and Chandler are my favourites. I remember the Thanksgiving episode when Joey wears maternity pants to eat a turkey. In another scene, when Monica gets her head stuck in the turkey. I love those scenes. I have literally lost count the number of times I have watched the series. Photo: Instagram

I love Joey. Joey and I have a lot of things in common. Joey doesn’t share food and so do I. Joey is cute. He is not very smart but is a charmer. The way he woos girls, I like it. At times, I try his opening line – How you doin? And if the girl doesn’t recall it as Joey’s dialogue and simply says, ‘I am fine’, that’s a total turn-off for me. I love the scenes when Joey was learning French from Phoebe. Then the scenes he was dressed as a teenager and also the scene where Joey fake-owned a Porsche. I have almost scene the series thrice. According to me Phoebe Buffay was my favourite character because she was quirky and carefree. She always preached good vibes. She lives her life to the fullest and knew how to have a good time always. She could sing just about on anything or write a poem. Her character reminded me not to take life so seriously. She always had her priorities right for her loved ones. She was absolutely fearless. All her scenes are my favourite scenes. I have watched it thrice but this is a series I can watch anytime. My favourite character from the Friends season is Joey. He is so spontaneous. You just look at him and he makes you laugh. I have watched the series twice. During my exams, I remember watching atleast one episode to cheer up my day. Friends had a great impact in my growing up years. I love all the characters but Joey just stands out. Joey has an X-factor that makes me watch him again and again. Photo: Instagram
