From Anupamaa's Paras Kalnawat to Saath Nibhaana Saathiya's Gia Manek: TV celebs who were thrown out from the show

Recently Paras Kalnawat aka Samar was ousted from the show Anupamaa for signing a contract with dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10 without reportedly informing the producers of the show. While Paras in an explosive interview with ETimes TV, spoke about his side of story, this isn’t the first time a producer of any show has removed an actor from the show. Take a look at the actors, who were thrown out of their shows prior to Paras' incident :

Actor Paras Kalnawat. who portrayed the role of Samar in the famous television show Anupamaa was recently ousted from the daily soap. It all began when the actor signed a dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja 10. The production house had released a statement that said the actor had done breach of contract and signed up for another show without informing them. Director Rajan Shahi stated “We as a production house won't entertain breach of contract. We have terminated his services as an actor with immediate effect. We wish him all the best for his future endeavors.” However, Paras shared that the decision was announced in the media even before he had signed JDJ10.

Karan Singh Grover who has been a famous name on TV has had a reputation for being unprofessional. Even when he was in Dill Mill Gayye the makers of the show complained about him being unprofessional and left the show in between. In the Qubool Hai show, Karan used to arrive late or would never appear for the shoot. Even when he used to arrive for the show he would do some of his work and leave within a few hours. Due to this reason, the makers of Qubool Hai replaced him on the show.

Pratyusha stepped into the role of Anandi in Balika Vadhu, which was played by the child actor Avika Gor in 2010. After the show went into a 5-year leap and it was Pratyusha who was chosen as the older Anandi. She worked for 3 years continuously and was unable to keep up with the non-stop schedule. The channel had said in a statement that as the show is progressing with Shiv and Anandi’s marriage it will be a hectic shoot and actress Pratyusha is not able to commit for the required time. Therefore the actress was shown the door.

Geet Hui Sabse Parayi actress Drashti Dhami had won the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 and was asked to host the seventh season with co-host Ranvir Shorey. However, the actress couldn’t create magic on stage with her hosting and was asked to leave.

Pavitra Rishta actress Ankita Lokhande, who was seen with comedian Kapil Sharma on the show Comedy Circus was giving a hard time to the makers. In 2011, Ankita would hardly report on time and would not give much wanted time for the show. Even Kapil Sharma was unhappy with her misbehavior and had to suffer in the final act of the show. The channel was putting up with her behavior because she was a well-known actress but her lack of performance and time on stage made them reconsider their decision.

Qubool Hai actor Rishabh Sinha who played Karan Singh Grover’s brother was thrown out of the show due to legal reasons. The producer of the show was upset when the actor signed another show even after having an exclusive contract with the channel. After breaching the contract he was removed from the show.

Naagin actor Pearl V Puri who was doing a show Sasu Maa was reportedly thrown out of the show for his unprofessional behavior.

Sonarika Bhadoria, who performed Parvati in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, was forced to leave the show due to pay issues. When she submitted her paperwork, the makers did promise her a fee increase but afterward sent her a dismissal letter, forcing her to resign.

Karan Sharma, who was cast in the mythological show 'Karn Sangini,' appeared to have smooth sailing ahead of him. However, the actor had to adjust his make-up room with another person and he denied sharing his make-up room. The actor told BT “Everything was finalized. However, at the last minute, a production boy informed me that I will have to share a make-up room with another actor, and I wasn’t too keen on doing that. I expected the issue to be resolved, but two days later, I was informed by the casting director that I am not a part of the show anymore, as they can’t provide me a separate make-up room.” The actor later received a call from the production house which told him that they are willing to resolve the situation, he further stated “After a week, I was told that the producer (Sumeet Mittal) wanted to meet me and discuss the issue. However, I had already taken up another project and was in talks for a third one, which would require me to allot at least 25 days. Hence, things couldn't be worked out.”

Giaa Manek, better known as Gopi bahu in the serial Saath Nibhana Saathiya, was removed by the show's producers overnight after the actress decided to compete in a rival channel's dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Shilpa Shinde, who performed Angoori Bhabi in the famous television show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, left the show after accusing the producers of torturing her mentally. As a result, the production company issued her a legal notice for breach of the contract. Trouble began when the producers barred her from appearing on other shows. It was in Bigg Boss 11, when Shilpa accused Vikas Gupta of getting her ousted from the show, calling him a mafia of the TV industry

Donal Bisht took over the role of Jasmin Bhasin in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji. The producers enticed the actress with the promise that the show would run for at least a year. However, the lovely actress was told recently that the show will be canceled due to low TRP ratings during the first week of August. She had told BT “I wasn’t expecting things to turn out like this. It’s heartbreaking and I felt bad when we were informed that 'DTHHJ' will go off air. I had quite a few offers, but I chose this show, so it’s disheartening when the unexpected happens. However, I would like to believe that this has happened for the better. However, now I won’t join any show midway.” She even added saying that, "However, the industry is unpredictable and so is the fate of TV shows. People started appreciating my bond with the kid and my chemistry with Rocky (Ansh Bagri), they decided to end the show. I haven’t been given any reason for its abrupt ending. They should have ideally given me some more time to establish myself.
