From being a beauty pageant winner to beating up ex-lover Vishal Aditya Singh in Bigg Boss 13; a look at evicted contestant Madhurima Tuli's controversial life

Madhurima Tuli, who entered Bigg Boss 13 as a wild card contestant, got evicted last night. The actress was accused of violent behaviour in the show by host, Salman Khan. Whilst her stay, Madhurima managed to grab eyeballs for the turbulent relationship with ex-boyfriend, Vishal Aditya Singh. The actress' career has not been free from controversy either. Ever since Madhurima entered the house, her relationship with Vishal Aditya Singh had been on and off. There were moments when the two hovered around each other, making their love apparent. But there were ugly moments, too, where Madhurima threw a slipper at Vishal and more recently hit him with a pan. This act of hers was called 'violent' by former Bigg Boss winner Gauahar Khan and Salman. Vishal's good friend Ashish Sharma also didn't spare Madhurima, and said hitting anyone was 'criminal'. Things now seem to be going downhill for the two.

Even in Nach Baliye 9, where the two participated as ex-lovers, they made headlines for their public fights. The two fought on stage and blamed each other for the act not going as planned. Vishal even called Madhurima the 'wrong girl' for him in the premiere episode of the dance reality show, which irked Madhurima to no end. She later called the entire experience of working with him as 'traumatising'.

Madhurima and Vishal's romance blossomed on the sets of their television show 'Chandrakanta' in 2017. That's also where the two first met and spent time together. In the show, Madhurima played the title role, while Vishal was seen as Veerendra Pratap Singh. Vishal had shared that he liked the fact that Madhurima could keep herself happy on her own, and didn't need others.

Madhurima has been a part of several television shows but her claim to fame has been Chandrakanta where she played the titular role. She also rose to fame as Tanushri Mehta in Kumkum Bhagya. Madhurima left Kumkum Bhagya for Akshay Kumar’s film Baby. She played the role of Akshay Kumar’s (Ajay Singh Rajput) wife Anjali in the movie. She has also featured in films like Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Warning and Naam Shabana.

Madhurima's career started with regional films. She made her debut with Telugu film Saththaa (2004) opposite Sai Kiran.

Madhurima was born in Odisha and hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She won the Miss Uttaranchal contest in college. She moved to Mumbai and studied acting at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School. She featured in advertisements as a model for many popular brands. (Photo: Instagram)
