Earlier Kareena Kapoor was in conversation on her show with her brother and actor Ranbir Kapoor and was seen speaking about Uorfi’s style. Kareena praised her and said “Fashion is all about expression and freedom of speech. I think that the confidence with which she pulls it off, I think she looks really cool and amazing. The fact that she does exactly as she wants, that's what fashion is all about - when you are comfortable in your own skin and do exactly as you, please. I just love the confidence. Uorfi recently was in the news when she shared pictures from her collaborations with top designers like Sandeep Khosla, Abu Jani, Rahul Mishra, Anaita Shroff and others. Uorfi had shared a post and revealed that no top designers had appreciated her style or offered to give her clothes. Uorfi stated “I am thrilled to be dressed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. They are masters of what they do and have made me feel all the more empowered with their acceptance of who I am. No designers would give me clothes which is why I started making my own. Abu, Sandeep have changed that for me.”

Uorfi Javed got into a fight with prominent writer Chetan Bhagat after he said her costumes are "distracting boys." This enraged her, and she retaliated by releasing his WhatsApp chats.
