There are many TV celebs who fell in love and got married. While all went well in the initial years of marriage, cracks began to develop later on. Here's taking a look at those TV couples who shocked everyone by announcing divorce after several years of being married and having kids.

Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain! actress Shubhangi Atre, who got married in 2003 to Piyush Poorey, has separated from her husband. They have an 18-year-old daughter. Talking to BT, the actress revealed, "It’s been almost a year since we are not living together. Piyush and I tried our best to save our marriage. Mutual respect, companionship, trust, and friendship are the foundation of a strong marriage." The two continue to remain cordial for their daughter and Piyush gets to spend time with her on Sundays.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra and his wife Nisha Rawal's break-up has been a bitter one. The two were married for over 9 years until Nisha filed a complaint against him in 2021, accusing him of domestic violence. The couple has a son together, Kavish. There have been many accusations that they have levelled against each other. Karan claimed last year that Nisha has an affair with her 'rakhi brother' Rohit but the actress chose to not speak about it. She has rather accused him of having an exta-marital affair and blamed him for not taking their son's responsibility. The two are fighting a legal battle now.

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh kept mum on the rumours of their marriage crashing in 2020. After nine years of being together, the couple parted ways and their divorce came through in January, 2022. The couple has a daughter Ayra. After the storm in his personal life settled, Aamir in an exclusive chat told BT, "It was extremely difficult at that point. After my marriage fell apart, main hil chuka tha." When he was asked about rumours of not being allowed to meet his daughter, Aamir chose not to talk about it. He said, "I don’t want to play any cards, but unfortunately, a man is always blamed. I have always maintained a dignified silence on matters related to my personal life. Someone I have spent so many years with deserves respect. So, I won’t say anything."

Mahabharat fame Nitish Bharadwaj announced separation from his wife, Smita Gate, after being married to her for 12 years. They parted ways in 2019 and filed for divorce. The couple has twin daughters who are living with their mother in Indore. Talking to BT about his separation, Nitish said. "I do not want to get into the reasons why we separated. The matter is in court right now. All I can say is that sometimes divorce can be more painful than death as you live with an amputated core." Both Nitish and his wife were previously married to different partners.

Raqesh Bapat and Ridhi Dogra were married for over 7 years when they decided to part ways. The couple hasn't spoken about the reasons for their separation and remain cordial. Back in 2019, Raqesh had told us, "Ridhi and I have decided to separate. There is nothing bad in it. We are in a good space even now and will be the same forever. We are great friends and will continue to be the same always. We married as two best friends and the special bond will always be there."

Maninee De and Mihir Misra got married in 2004. The couple announced separation in 2020 after being together for 16 years. Maninee told BT, "Marriage, like any other relationship, has its highs and lows. The reasons for our separation are too personal to be divulged. Also, I respect the sacredness and sanctity of our relationship. We gave it our best, but the outcome isn’t in our hands." The actress also added, "We evolved at different paces and our paths diverged. Maybe, we had a karmic debt and it lived out its course. It’s even more sad, because a lot of people felt that ours was a fairy-tale romance." The actress is now living with her daughter from first marriage.

Juhi and Sachin, who met and fell in love on the sets of a TV show, married in 2009. The couple has a daughter, Samaira Shroff, who was born in 2013. Right after, trouble began to brew in their marriage. In 2018, Juhi announced their separation, putting all speculations to rest. In an interview with BT, Sachin said, "The divorce happened with mutual consent, amicably and in a dignified manner. Unfortunately, and by Juhi’s own public admission, she was never in love with me. Toral Rasputra got married to businessman, Dhaval, in 2012. Their marriage lasted only 5 year. Toral moved out of Dhaval's home in 2015 and started to live with her parents. She confirmed the news of her divorce to BT in 2018. She said, "Yes, we are divorced, but it’s been amicable. Despite trying our best, our marriage didn’t work out. Things don’t always turn out the way we expect. All said and done, luckily, we all are happy and peaceful now. Dhaval and I will always remain good friends."

Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii actors Kiran Karmarkar and Rinku Dhawan, who got married in 2002, opened up about their divorce in 2020. Kiran told BT, "It was a 15-year-old marriage and the best part of our relationship is that we share a son. Ideally, no one wants a marriage to break, and the notion that two actors can’t make a marriage work is incorrect because marriages don’t break only in the film and TV industry. I don’t think that our marriage ended because of the demands of the profession. There came a situation when we did not agree on many things."
