Ashneer Grover has been one of the most talked about Sharks from Shark Tank India’s season premiere. Not only this, he grabbed headlines with his statements in the show, post wrapping up, his revelations from personal and professional life have been equally eye-catching. During his recent visit to a private university as a guest speaker, Ashneer Grover talked about how businesses function and what things need to be considered while starting a venture. During his speech, he stressed on the importance of building trust for a business which involves monetary transactions. He decided to get Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on-board as his brand ambassador but he didn't have enough funds to do that. He said, "Mere paas bank mai pure 100 crore pade the jisse mujhe pura business banana tha (I only had Rs. 100 crores in my bank account with which I had to run my business)". He still decided to go ahead with the idea of approaching Salman and got in touch with his manager, who asked for Rs 7.5 crores. However, Ashneer couldn't afford to pay the amount back then and requested Salman to reconsider his fees. To his surprise, the actor agreed to promote his product for Rs. 4.5 crores.

Adding more to the story of what happened next, Ashneer shared, “He asked, ‘Sir aap bhindi kharidne aaye ho kya, kitni mandawali karoge (Sir, have you come to buy vegetables, how much will you negotiate)?’” Ashneer replied to him, "Mere paas hai hi nahi paise, de hi nahi sakta (I don't have enough money, I cannot give)."

Ashneer Grover has been touring around with his family and he happened to bump into Bollywood couple Arjun Kapoor-Malaika Arora in Paris. Arjun and Malaika were travelling to ring in the former’s birthday. What followed was a hilarious social media banter between Ashneer and Arjun. As Ashneer posted pics with the couple and also wished Arjun on his birthday, he wrote, “Rendezvous Avec Birthday Boy Arjun Kapoor and ravishing Malaika Arora in Paris. ‘Tres gentil et tres jolier! (Meeting with birthday boy Arjun Kapoor and ravishing Malaika Arora in Paris.Very kind and very pretty).” Arjun replied in a true blue Shark Tank India fan style. He wrote, “Bhai kya kar raha hai tu ??? Photo post karli aur wish bhi kar diya yeh to doglapan nahi achi baat hai... thanks for the wishes my man...”

While delivering a lecture at a university, he shared how Vineeta Singh was his 'hot junior in IIM' and they had exchanged flirtatious glances. He added, "Vineeta was my junior in IIM; we never spoke but had exchanged flirtatious glances. She was one of those 'hot juniors'. Aman is a great guy, our 'auditions' for the show were held together at my place. Peyush everybody knew from Lenskart, and Namita I met for the first time on the show."

Sharks Ashneer and Anupam dined out in London with their wives Madhuri and Anchal to celebrate their wedding anniversaries. It was by chance that they discovered they share their anniversary dates. Seeing their pictures together, netizens had one question in mind – 'Who paid the bill?'

Ashneer Grover revealed on social media that he has been sticking to a healthy routine for losing weight. In a post, Ashneer shared that he has shed weight. He captioned his photo as, "Losing inches and kilos! Eating healthy and walking miles." A user joked in the comments, 'Ameeri dekh rahe ho, walk karne Switzerland chale gaye'.

Ashneer has been travelling for two months and brought in his 40th birthday in his favourite city – London. He shared this photo on his 40th birthday and wrote, "Bringing in the ‘Big 40’ Birthday in my favourite city London! Blessed to have the sun shine in on me!"

Post show wrap up, Ashneer happened to meet pitcher Ravi Kabra, whose business has seen a massive growth ever since he received a great funding in the show. The entrepreneur called Ravi's success story the biggest success story from the first season of Shark Tank India. Ashneer also shared about how much growth has Ravi’s startup seen over the period. Ravi Kabra participated in Shark Tank India season 1. His business model impressed all the sharks leading him to receive a funding of Rs. 1 crore on the show. His pitch was an all shark deal, approved and invested in by all the panel members.

Ashneer revealed they were not paid anything for doing the show. Contrary to the rumours that claimed they were paid Rs. 10 lakh per episode, Ashneer joked that he would have been happy with even Rs. 5 lakh. Ashneer said, "We weren’t paid anything for any episode. In fact, we worked like bonded labour for hours and hours." He also added, “The concept of the show is very simple; they believe we have money, and they felt that we all have high-value startups, we’d be able to invest some money on the show. So, they asked us to commit to spending Rs 10 crore each on the show. We said okay."
