Bigg Boss surprised the housemates and made them emotional as he called their family members. During the special family week, Deepak's father entered the Bigg Boss 12 house and asked Deepak to change his behaviour. Deepak's father made him emotional and even thanked his son for fulfilling their dreams. He told Deepak to play the game with utmost dignity and without fighting with anyone. He told him to get friendly with others and work on his bond. Since then, Deepak has changed his behaviour inside the house and is also seen getting pally with other housemates. (Photo - Instagram)

Even though Deepak entered the house with Urvashi Vani, he was never with her in the game. Many a time he has had differences with her, which led him to take someone else's side. He also found her quite a weak player in the game, something he told everyone in the house. His acting like a simpleton initially was also considered one of his strategies to gain sympathy and love of the audience.

In the initial few weeks, Deepak was seen as a fun loving person and his one-liners made everyone laugh out loud. His take on the 'Jacuzzi' was also quite hilarious. He was understated then. Many viewers of Bigg Boss 12 feel that Deepak picks fights with Sreesanth and Dipika as they are strong players. This gives him extra footage and keeps him in the limelight. In the recent episode, too, when Sara Ali Khan asked Deepak who he thinks is a waste in the house and getting attention due to others, he took Dipika's name. Deepak said Dipika doesn't have the 'jazbaa' to win the game. Even though Deepak always apologises later, he gets what he needs from creating a ruckus.

Deepak knows how to use people in the game. While he may be picking fights with Sreesanth and Dipika, he is seen quite pally with Surbhi Rana, another strong player. Also, for the initial 10 weeks, Romil and Deepak were quite steady as friends. In one of the recent episodes, Rohit instigated Deepak against Romil, saying that Romil thinks that Deepak has come so far in the game due to him. Deepak got offended at this. He has now snapped his ties with Romil, just based on Rohit's claims.

Deepak's attitude towards women has been questioned time and again by even the host of the show, Salman Khan. He had previously commented on Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu's relationship by calling the latter a 'gold digger'. He has also questioned Megha Dhade's 'chaal-chalan' on the show and apologised to her later. Recently, he was caught saying, Jasleen 'na mard hai na aurat'.

Soon after entering the house, Deepak began to take Somi's side and later confessed how he has a crush on her. He ditched Urvashi, the weaker player, in no time. His flirtatious behaviour and feelings have, however, been one-sided. Somi rather feels annoyed at Deepak's acts and once told Surbhi she hates the whole idea of love. In the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, Salman teases Deepak with Somi's name, but it does not get a reaction from her.

During one of the luxury budget tasks, Deepak Thakur and Megha Dhade did not spare each other. Their fight took an ugly turn with Megha screaming at him. She did not stop at that. She threw a slipper and spat on him as well. Deepak provoked her to a degree that Megha confessed to Salman that she lost her cool and couldn't stop herself from getting violent.

To get more footage in the game, Deepak has also lied to other contestants and instigated one against the other for no reason. He also passes on what he hears from one to another.
