Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actor Sameer Sharma, 44, allegedly died by suicide at his Malad home on Thursday (August 6). According to reports, his body was found hanging at the ceiling in his home. A report further suggested that the had recently rented the Malad apartment in Mumbai, and his body was found by his building's watchman. No suicide note was found. Sameer was currently seen in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke as character Kuhu's father. Sameer Sharma had been part of TV serials Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Aadat Se Majboor show fame Manmeet Grewal, 32, committed suicide at his Kharghar residence on Friday night (May 15). His wife told police that Manmeet was under stress as he had unpaid dues and no work. The actor had starred in serials such as Aadat Se Majboor and Kuldeepak. Police said that the actor had been suffering from depression as he owed people money and many of his projects had been halted by the lockdown.

TV actress Sejal Sharma was found hanging in her flat at Mira Road on Friday. She left behind a suicide note. The news has come as a shock to her close family and friends. Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji was Sejal's first TV project. The actress played the role of Simmi Khosla, lead actor Ansh Bagri aka Rocky's adopted sister. Originally from Udaipur in Rajasthan, Sejal had come to Mumbai in 2017 to pursue her acting career. Her friends said on condition of anonymity that Sejal was under depression after her television show came to an end. She was looking for work but nothing had come her way. Her show that began in January 2019, abruptly ended in August.

Television actor Kushal Punjabi (42), who was last seen playing the role of Danny alongside Aalisha Panwar and Arjun Bijlani in Ishq Mein Marjawan, committed suicide on December 26 at 11:30 PM. The actor hanged himself at his Pali Hill residence in Bandra. His friends reportedly found him hanging from the ceiling when they entered the flat. Pratyusha Banerjee (24) was a television actress who gained recognition in 2010 in the TV show Balika Vadhu playing the role of 'Anandi'. On 1 April 2016, Banerjee was found hanging in her Mumbai apartment, and according to the postmortem report the cause of death was suicide. Reportedly, Pratyusha was in a live-in-relationship with Rahul Raj Singh, had become an alcoholic and was depressed due to financial and emotional crunches.
