Urfi Javed is well-known for her bold and distinctive dressing style. Everyday, Urfi's 'daring' costumes make headlines. Many people admired Urfi Javed's bravery, however, some on the internet criticized her. Urfi is once again in the headlines for landing herself in legal trouble. This time an FIR has been filed against her by a lawyer for committing illegal and obscene acts on social media and even in public. Urfi Javed ended up in a brawl with noted writer Chetan Bhagat when he commented that her outfits are "distracting boys", this raged her up and she responded by sharing his WhatsApp chats. The author then wrote a clarification on his social media account. He wrote, "Have never spoken to/chatted with/met/ known someone where it’s being spread that I have done so. It’s fake. a lie. Also a non-issue. Haven’t criticized anyone. And I also think there’s nothing wrong in telling people to stop wasting time on Instagram and focus on fitness and career."

Urfi was recently harassed by a group of teenagers who got her number and called her constantly just to abuse her. She took to her social media and wrote "This kid and his 10 friends have been calling me nonstop (I have been using the same number for 10 numbers, I don't know from where did they get it). They are calling and abusing me. What is wrong with kids these days? Harassing me for no reason! I am going to file a police complaint against the 10 of them but if anyone knows their parents, let me know. I'll reward you!"

Urfi had released a recent video where Bhau was seen telling her to improve her dressing style or else he would teach her a lesson. She captioned the video, "This is now, suddenly he has an issue with what I dress after I refused to give him media attention. It's over, your honour! Conclusion: Publicity-hungry a**holes willing to do everything to gain fame."

Urfi was mired in legal trouble due to her revealing outfit in her song Haye Haye Yeh Majboori. Urfi had released a behind-the-scenes video in which she was seen falling off the swing. Many viewers criticized her for her outfit after seeing the video, and one user filed a complaint for "posting or transmitting content that comprises sexually explicit act in the electronic form."

On Diwali morning, Urfi posed in a crimson lehenga with her hand covering her chest and she takes a sensuous bite of the ladoo. This raged Anupamaa's Sudhanshu Pandey and he lashed out at her. Urfi gave with a befitting reply that targeted his character in the show and schooled his mentality.

From body shaming to age shaming, Urfi and Chahatt Khanna had a major spat, It all began with Urfi poking her for the Conman Sukesh case link-up and lasted till her recent brawl with Chetan Bhagat as Chahatt and her rumoured boyfriend Rohan Gandotra came out in support of the author. This agitated Urfi and she went on a spree slamming everyone that irked her.

Earlier in the year, The guard at the gate barred Urfi Javed from accessing the venue. He asked her to go since he couldn't place her. The guard even told her to step back and pose for the pictures. It upset her and caused her to snap. Urfi screamed at her colleagues for failing to communicate adequately. "No one can come and talk to me like this," she said.
